Too late. That's a dirty @Jack V Savage trick, though. I'm confident enough that I will win on the established parameters.
Wait....no that would not be a dirty trick. Bets aren't final in the War Room until Lead confirms them. The bet still isn't official so you can pull out or change right now. I'll leave a note to Lead not to confirm until I know what you want to do. Don't want you roped into something that you're not happy with. Cheers Mr Heretic.

I've agreed to the bet like three times already. It's official. If you want to pick a candidate to spice things up a bit, I won't stop you, but I'm cool with the all or nothing Biden bet.

I want pancakes and like a pound of bacon.

I know it's bad for me but I don't care.
Mr President, fight the urge. We need you in the long battle ahead.

Also, my wife has been using a subreddit called something like "1200 is enough". It is a community of females who share information about how to limit calories to 1200 calories a day with fully balanced nutrition. As a male, 1800 is probably a better number for you. Calorie counting works, Mr President.

1800 calories is like a small bowl of almonds and a protein shake.

Yeah, I ain't really up for the ultra liberal Aushwitz diet when I'm trying to do squats and deadlifts.

Ok. Just wanted to make sure, Mr Heretic. In that case.....

IT'S ON......................................us?

Mr President, the goal should be weight loss, health and longevity. If you are living a more active lifestyle, then you can increase that number to 2200 or so. Sticking to a strict target cannot fail. Only you can fail yourself. I love you, Mr. President.

Doing the SKWATZ N MILK thing when you're trying to lose weight is dumb. You need to be in caloric excess to build muscle and strength generally speaking. You can do some general strength work in the meantime, but doing cardio and general sports while controlling your caloric intake is probably going to make more sense and be a lot more fun.

What does your work out regimen consist of?

Like, the guy I go to the gym with I appreciate him motivating me to go but once we get there it FEELS like he only has me around to feel better about himself.

I fail to see the benefit for me in him throwing 2 45s and a 25 to a side for deadlifts and him barely being able to rep it and me being lucky to even pull it once in 10 tries.

Then he's all about doing "metcon" shit 3 times a week consisting of like 135lb to each hand farmers walks. BITCH, I only just started doing that for reps in deadlifts HOW IS THIS BENEFICIAL FOR ME TO FAIL AT FUCKING EVERY EXERCISE?!

For example, this is sheiko's beginner program that he gives to kids who walk into his gym off the street.

There's all kinds of athletic exercises, like jumps, and running, and body building exercises like presses with dumbells for higher reps, in addition to learning the technique of the major lifts (if that's something you want to work on). He even prescribes playing soccer, which he continues to recommend all the way up until you'd be a class 3 lifter.

Thanks.

Yeah, buddy set up what he wanted to do as sled pushes (down and back) with like 270lbs on the fucking sled then walk down and bear crawl back. Then down and back farmer walk with 135lbs in each hand (I can barely do 155lb fucking deadlift so I don't get how he could be surprised I can't do that farmer walk), then finish with 50lb kettlebell clings and 50lb kettlebell swings... if I struggle to do even 6 of the 10 reps on the 50lb clings per side HOW THE FUCK am I supposed to feel safe doing the fucking swings? Every time I go up I feel like the damn thing is going to get shotputted cause my grip is slipping and as it comes down I get worried I'll lose my grip and throw it into my foot or not be able to control it and smash my own balls.

The more I think about it the more I feel like he means well but doesn't realize how it feels from my perspective he has me around to feel better about himself at the gym.

Are the Russian's attacking? Verizon with a major outage today.

Yeah, that sounds dumb. There's also these doctors behind ''barbell medicine'' if you're interested in an american program more related to Rippetoe's stuff. I think the program is called the bridge. Essentially, they agree with Sheiko's take (and my take) that just jumping directly in to strength specific training for a relatively untrained or extremely detrained individual (and I would say struggling to deadlift 155 qualifies) is maybe not the smartest thing to do. I'm not sure if they went ahead and made their beginner program already, but if they did it seems interesting. In an interview they specifically alluded to designing a program that would have a lot of GPP elements in it.

Thanks dude. Yeah, the more I look at what we're doing the less benefits I'm seeing for myself.

I get strength training has it's place but if we are doing 4 sets of 8 reps and I start to struggle on rep 3 set 1 I am failing to see what I'm doing for myself other than upping the risk of injury/basically shooting my mental/emotional self esteem in the face with a 12 gauge.

Its a 9% difference, not yuge but not nothing. And all I had said earlier is that conservatives are more likely to value the extended family which was backed up by the data, 9% more likely.

I just reread the twitter thread and I do not see where he blamed liberals. The only time he references liberalism is here

where he's using it interchangeably with capitalism and is thus clearly referring to liberalism as an economic system.

I mean I do want to live near a theater but I mean a movie theater, definitely not the other kind.

I'm not sure why, but your defense of this position is not up to your usual standard.

First, the graphic:
Removing the extremes, mostly liberal is actually higher than mostly conservative. What does that tell us? Not much, I think.

Keeping the extremes, without a margin of error, the result is of no use. I also take mild exception to the poll question, but I don't have time for a complete explanation for that.

I still don't think this "clearly" says anything about the subject of our debate. I might be missing something though so feel free to contradict.

The tweets:
Conflating capitalism and liberalism is clearly an attempt to put it into the heads of people that liberals are to blame. Capitalism is not an ideology. Liberalism is. Mixing the 2 is creating a false equivalency. There lies my objection. Greedy people taking advantage of others is not liberal or conservative. It's just wrong.
