It's a really strange case for you to jump to the defense of a person, and to try to create a plausible defense for despite none of us having any details other than police felt this was a serious enough case to go after felony charges for and get him extradited back to their county. Trujillo isn't some public figure some district cops would try to fabricate charges over like this and it isn't a me too accusation, it's felony charges with evidence.

Worst I did was stacking hay in a barn. It go so damn hot in the upper section. And with the hay bales so scratchy and itchy, you had to wear jeans and long sleeves. Just continual lug the 40 pound bales from where they drop in at the front to stack up in the pyramid you're making in the back and expanding. Such physical labor, such repetitive long dehydrated hours.

Also had part of my finger chopped off when it got caught in the hay elevator. Thankfully not much and barely notice it missing anymore, but wow was there blood everywhere and it hurt like a bitch.

Hm, the part in bold reminds me of using a chainsaw in the army to create improvised bridges and infrastructure. I was a soft city boy, carrying around a full size chainsaw in 100% humidity and 40C. After a while you kind of work in auto mode, it seems you get used to the heat and dehydration. The interesting thing is that I felt that transition, at first it's hard but then it's just weird when you get into the zone and you just forget everything else, the heat just feels like an armor around me.

I've had some shit jobs. The worst was probably assembling cardboard boxes in a warehouse in a grimy part of town where junkies would cycle through until they got paid enough for the next hit and then disappear. Not exactly a rewarding work environment.

Been on assembly lines for cars (Ford) and car batteries (elsewhere). Even worked in a hotel for a bit after I had my degree, bartending and setting up banquets for weddings and such. Great crew at that one.

Best shitty job by far was skate sharpening. I would go actually go back to that in retirement if I found the right place. Somewhere with mountains in the background.

Worst job I had was as a network engineer. I did a tech diploma in that and I really wish I hadn't. I did landscape construction, which was tough, but honestly that was a better job. I'd much rather have physical pain than such extreme boredom.

One summer in university I started a lawn mowing business. My first mistake was offering a flat rate. The first day I was called by 3 people who seemingly had not ever mowed their lawns. It took me 2 hours to finish the first guy's lawn because the grass would clog the mower after maybe 10 meters. I collected 15 dollars as that was the rate. The next day I changed the rate to an hourly fee and made a lot more money.

Yowsah. Literally did one morning of moving and stacking hay in a loft, not a job but a favor. It was for a very good friend and that's the reason he's alive today.
