On Santos' knee, I wonder if the whole thing blew apart in the 1st all at once? Or if he tore one major ligament then, then with more usage popped another. Then another. Then another as the fight went on and he kept somehow using that leg?

Nothing says, "Take me seriously" like having a sexy whisky contest for a Presidential candidate.

Maybe Hillary should've showed more skin.
Thankfully she didn't. Maybe Tulsi gets desperate down the line...

Gillibrand is clearly not MILF material though. She might entice the 50+ years old liberal and dying alone demographic, but that's about it.

I'm always a little suspicious of those "meet a celebrity" contests though. I'm about 70% sure there's some kind of screening before you go through. Imagine the creeps that might win a Katy Perry contest.

Truth

I recently converted the first floor of my house into a MIL apartment and rented it out. The extra income is wonderful.

mrw it's the 1st of the month

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to do what Higus is doing here, like own a house and convert the basement and rent it out but fuck me, other than my first landlord who was a roommate/friend's aunt all my other landlords have sucked donkey balls.

Current house me and my friend are looking at we got application shit to her like 2 weeks ago, she sends us MORE paperwork she wants us to fill out which is just basically a repeat of what we filled out on Rentler and we sent it to her Thursday. Haven't heard shit since.

She’s not great. But, on the other hand, she is better than every Republican, so...

The criticism of Gillibrand has also been drenched in sexism.

There's nothing improper or unbecoming about a candidate promoting a chance to meet them on the campaign trail.

Also, for anyone who wants a good laugh, a policy analyst for the libertarian think tank Reason Foundation (best known through Reason magazine) made a completely bumbling faux-left-wing critique of Gillibrand in TheWeek this week, where she completely botched the meaning of intersectionality and made a corporate feminism critique of Gillibrand that is waaaay more applicable to fucking libertarians.

If anyone wondered how feckless the "resistance" (tm) is here you go. Samantha Bee the "woke" white liberal woman shows her centrist and anti-Semitic core to everyone.

Anti-Semitic? Can you elaborate?

Seems pessimistic, but not centrist or anti-Semitic.

You're free to be completely wrong . . .

EVERY Republican? C'mon dude. That's idiotic even for you.

It's not even disputable to anyone that has a remote knowledge of policy. The entirety of the GOP's ranks have sold their souls and gone fully in on corruption and actively sabotaging the country for pecuniary gain. There are no longer any Republicans with principles, let alone coherent and productive policies.

Not funny, but not anti-semitic. Rhetorically centrist, but not necessarily really centrist, either.

The part that most annoyed me then and still annoys me now is the "....want a Ted Cruz presidency" bit: the repeated, ignorant insistence that Hillary was a sure thing to win and Sanders was a sure thing to lose, based on a misreading of the national pulse that was so impossibly daft that it seemed like it had to be purposeful and in bad faith.

Disagree with that last point. It was a widespread perception that was based on the idea that Bernie was further from the median voter. I think conventional wisdom about electability is highly questionable and not something to be relied on (which is different from saying that it is known to be wrong), but I think that a lot of people don't track research on the subject and genuinely believe it. That is, we really don't know (even in retrospect) which of Clinton or Sanders was more electable, but I think that people on both sides of the issue could be acting in good faith, and had plausible, though weak, reasons for believing what they did.
