Who's your favorite guy to learn BJJ techniques from (aside from Danaher if that was your answer)?

As far as free tuition, I think that it has some consequences that are either purposely or accidentally being ignored. Just as one example, it almost completely disincentivizes the GI Bill (and other military service-dependent programs for college tuition payment/repayment), which I think has a sizeable impact on military enlistment and commissioning.
outclasses Ng

Marcelo.
Yeah, the MG in action site is amazing, but it's expensive.Love his style.
It’s not easy to replicate however. Explosively and athletically throwing yourself into a close butterfly guard so you can sweep, slx, x is a steep learning curve imo.
Butterfly guard is something I love but I have a bit of a love hate relationship with it as I have not figured it out despite much time invested.
That said I have only seen a bit of Marcelo’s instructionals so I could be missing some stuff.
Asteroid the size of a car hit the earth's atmosphere. Burned up completely and harmless
Damn. How big would an asteroid have to be to make it to earth even just the size of a bowling ball?

The one that they figured killed the dinosaurs was at least 11km in diameter.
I should say I slx from seated guard all the time. But getting close and actually landing a butterfly sweep or variation thereof (like a reverse butterfly sweep) is so fucking rare.
I actually get it more transitioning right into a close butterfly guard from closed or open like this.
Full credit. I found this by googling “how do I fix my fucking butterfly guard” and it was in a sherdog thread comparing it to the “Marcelo explode in and sweep approach”.
Another example of where much more attention needs to be spent at the root technique/posture. When I drill seated guard and reset if am passed / go to half/ or I sweep/submit and do it over and over again, my butterfly game explodes. If I don’t work that drill it goes to shit again.
Gotta rock right into that ass fulcrum, ehThe ass fulcrum is very important.and definitely feel based. You have to be able to rock right into it before they adjust. Also, of course, a really strong overhook.

So I stumbled upon a Beyond Meat patty in a local supermarket yesterday and tried today. I am impressed, they won't be able to replace a steak, but I don't see a reason not to replace burger meat with that.
Really? I had some when I was back in Canada and I really wasn't that impressed. I've had more convincing veggie burgers before.
