Yes yes I believe it's important to report both sides, the real and the potential.Or lack thereof

DS just got Kamala Harrised by NG
Has there ever been a more athletically scary fighter than Ngannou? I think not.
While this is true, he likes the elephant power @Trotsky mentionedJones is athletically scary AND legally allowed to juice. Doesn't get much scarier than that.
Has there ever been a more athletically scary fighter than Ngannou? I think not. With the right camp, that dude should be unstoppable. He's 250 with the speed of someone who is 185 and the power of an elephant.
I'm also a big fan of the guy

But the thing is, he's not very good aside from that athleticism. So he seems simultaneously very beatable and very scary. It's a fun mix.
It's gotta be seriously scary to face that guy.Has there ever been a more athletically scary fighter than Ngannou? I think not. With the right camp, that dude should be unstoppable. He's 250 with the speed of someone who is 185 and the power of an elephant.

Rich had such lively facial expressions while fighting. In both of his fights against Anderson you looked at his face while he was clinched and it looked like he was staring at death.I think prime Anderson must have been a really scary man. Just consider someone like Rich Franklin who certainly believed he had a chance the first time and then had to face him a second time.

I’d have to look at those early wins to be sure but, as with so many lower level promotions (especially at HW), I assume he could just overpower dudes into submission.Kind of a strange career. He doesn't start MMA until the age of 26 and all of his early wins were by submissions. You'd think with his natural power, he'd have been knocking fools out and getting submitted.
Especially the second fight. Anderson apparently obliterated his nose in the first fight, that took a long time to heal, and Franklin was clearly having flashbacks while Silva had him in the Thai clinch.

That’s kinda what I meant, he was probably fighting dudes whose reaction to having an athletic 250 pound dude messing with their joints/neck was tapping the fuck out right away, regardless of the amount of technique employed.Kimura (ufc)
Standing guillotine
Arm bar
Arm triangle
Not really overpowering subs , but the quality of opposition(and their grappling prowess) in 1st three is suspect
I mean that was the norm back in the day, most former champions would fight a journeyman plus a contender in order to get back to title contention. He had a fairly long journey back to the title too, didn’t he? I think it’s been a long time where you see that. A champ loses and gets put on the back burner for awhile in getting a rematch. Looks like it was only a year but he had two fights before the rematch. I think that made it even more demoralizing to work your way back up, have great performances, and still get plowed through in the rematch.
