The disclosure of the Mueller report's findings specifically debunked Greenwald, yet, because an indictment was not imminent (as it never was), he took it as a vindication of his position that there was no collusion and that the investigation was a hoax.
Greenwald's conduct there is a representation of the world kind of internet-argument-type dishonesty: misrepresenting a claim (
there was interference and collusion) to the point that, when the misrepresented conclusion (
direct evidence will implicate Trump and lead to his indictment) is not met, an adverse claim is treated as proven (
there was no interference and no collusion).
I was with Greenwald when he was saying "this is overblown as an international matter in light of the US's past and ongoing crimes." But when he went full "the investigation is a hoax," he became a hack.
