Does anyone else think that Euron looks a lot like Pacey Witter from Dawson's Creek?
Yes, well I found he reminded me of someone. It was pointed out here who! Charlie from mighty ducks.

@panamaican @Lead @Madmick So we can't call other posters rapists or we get carded/banned, but it's allowed to argue in favor of raping your wife? Are we allowed to call someone here a rapist if he rapes his wife, I mean reminds her of her marital duties, forcefully?

You saw the note. Don’t do that. If a poster oversteps with a disturbing view, that will be handled. Use reports for anything rather than assuming you can retaliate without consequences.

Definitive fast food rankings:

1. Long John Silvers-A&W
2. Arby's
3. Rally's/Checkers
4. Taco Bell
5. Whataburger
6. KFC
7. Dairy Queen
8. McDonald's
9. Jack in the Box
10. Hardees/Carl Jr.
11. Wendy's
12. Burger King
Well at least with fast food talk I have more of a reference point than for booze talk. I had a phase where I ate haram food and easily the most tempting item for me was the McChicken. So cheap and tasty, I always feel I get my money's worth and more when I bought one of those. But now I try to avoid that stuff as much as possible so my opinions of fast food places are heavily determined by how good their fish sandwich(es). Fries and drinks are also important. So by that metric my favorite places are

1. Long John's Silver
2. Checkers
3. Wendy's
4. McDonald's
5. Burger King

BK gets points for those chocolate pies they sell but overall not a fan.

Oh that thread, was it Thurisaz? I have him on ignore so that thread was a bit confusing at first.

Yeah that’s the guy. He was calling people ‘fornicators’ as well I think as an insult to those who have sex outside of marriage. I have avoided and barely read that thread.

He's an interesting character to say the least.

Yeah, sure as hell that thread doesn't need you bringing out the worst in some people when it's already on full display. Although, scathing language aside, his explanation, that he's so in tune with the needs and wants of his wife that the issue would never arise, is actually fine in the ideal case. Of course, the thing is that people are far from ideal, particularly men in marriage, particularly when they've been taught their home is a dictatorship, able to do whatever, whenever. He seems unable to concede that.

There goes the man getting into my stash again. Don't fuck with my kit, man.

Cocaine, psychedelics, DMT? They sure knew how to party 1,000 years ago: Archaeologists make startling discovery

Humans have been tripping off hallucinogens for at least a millennium, according to a crew of archaeologists who discovered a 1,000-year-old pouch of mind-bending drugs in a Bolivian cave.

The team discovered a strange leather sack buried in a rock shelter in southwestern Bolivia and took a peek inside. They found a pouch and a range of tools, including spatulas made from llama bones, a small tube, tiny carved wooden containers, and a long strip of fabric.

These mix of objects may have seemed odd at first, but when the researchers chemically analysed the contents of the pouch using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry technology, it all clicked into place. The seemingly innocuous pouch, made out of three fox snouts snitched together, contained traces of cocaine, harmine, and dimethyltryptamine (DMT), the latter being part of the drug ayahuasca that is still used by shamans and drug tourists today.

It seems they had discovered the remains of an ancient drug stash. Using carbon dating, the researchers estimate the paraphernalia are about a thousand years old. The tube was probably made for sniffing powders, the wooden containers are "snuffing tablets," used for preparing the drugs and the fabric was probably a headband to keep the hair away as someone cooked up illicit substances with spatula....

Found further down in the article, "It also puts people into a purgative state, causing them to vomit furiously and it occasionally leads to diarrhea, too." That's the one thing that turns me off from going down there to give ayahuasca a try.

I know the drug use sticks out to you, but it astounds me how creative early humans could be

I think this rule conforms to the Republican/white conservative ethos of it's worse to call someone a racist than it is to be a racist.

Along those same lines, it's worse to call someone a rapist than to be a rapist.

I was making a joke. The whole thing is incredible. The presumed head band looks amazingly well preserved.

Edit: I grant your use of 'you' may have been in a general sense, in which case we're merely in agreement.

Its going to be a massive headache to deal with the countries of Southeast and South Asia that are going to be hit hard by climate change. Losing your capital sucks pretty hard, gonna be interesting to see what Indonesia does in response to this information.

They will wage war with one of their neighbors to get more land if this happens.

That is something I find surprising about opposition to climate change mitigation. People are wigged out now over massive numbers of refugees and immigrants. When large masses become too hot to live in and other parts are sinking into the sea in large numbers, things are going to get crayyyyyyyyzy. People who are against policies that permit mass immigration and so on ought to be staunch environmentalists, but you never hear a peep about it in that context.
