War Room Lounge V36: Liquor in the rear, too

Maybe. But secession was about more than just that aspect. I’m sure that was one of the factors though.

Indeed that much is beyond debate given declaration of causes.

Now, what things could we not connect to slavery that were reasons for secession?

I know, I know, if the result of freeing an entire race of people justifies going to war to prevent secession, then the result of blacks living it up in modern America justifies capturing and enslaving them. That old chestnut.

swing and a miss.

By "IMO" do you mean it as a comment on my choices, or are you expressing a preference? Either way, not bad but not my usual really.
Can't go wrong with an old classic though, IMO.

Your choices are good music, but still pretty mellow in my opinion.

However, I can agree on the awesome rockitude of AC/DC.

4 minute video of basically why the world is fucked.

The new Rammstein is damn good too

Uplifting, ain't it? Reminds me of this,

They sounded somewhat similar. Same guys?

Well the first vid is Eisbrecher.

Second vid is Rammstein. They're the same genre and both German so it makes sense they sound very similar.

Great song, and a better video.

Good stuff, Greg.
My favorite part about the Eisbrecher one is how annoyed/frustrated the band members portray themselves when they're the camera men and shit.

As to the Rammstein one I ALSO love how it's a song basically doing the "hey Germany, we're pretty awesome now but in terms of scumbag history we are right down there with everyone else"

I listen to primarily stuff like Eric Church and Cadillac Three but this last like week since my job interview in SLC I've been listening to nothing but Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Megaherz, OOMPH! and The Hu.

I have no idea why though

Bud, I asked you a simple question that does not require a word salad. I didn’t quote you because I made the post quickly and simply forgot to quote you. I’ve also asked you the same question at least 3 times. It isn’t a difficult question to answer, yet you beat around the bush with long, drawn out aversions.

I understand the history, stop talking down to me like you have some deep insight to it and I’m some dumb redneck. I know evertmything you are saying. You and I can have that conversation, I am hitting on certain points because not many people here have much understanding to any of it and they simply believe it was all about ending slavery.

I’ll ask one more time.

Would there have been a war if there was no economic impact involved? Would Lincoln have waged war, for the sole purpose of ending slavery?

All I need is a yes or no.
Cap, i'm gonna make this as simple as I can.
That question makes no actual sense. It's basically two shades away from a fallacy.
And i'm not "talking down" to you. I just understand exactly where the cracks in your foundational understanding are. That "question" is a good example.

Anyway,

When I need to spark my brain I turn to more and more mellow music, paradoxically. When I am just randomly playing different songs I go rock and roll, but when I want to put on something and just let it play for a long time, I go for shit like this:

Remember when you were young?
You shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes,
like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.

Well, we can officially add clergy abuse of children to the funny list

This one looks like an uncoordinated idiot not keeping control of floppy baby

You wanna see a creepy one?

The dad really should have started throwing uppercuts. Priest still grabbing after the kid as the dad finally pulls him away is almost as fucked up as the slap and head twisting.

He should've held demon priests head under the water till he stopped crying..

Most people I know who are dad's would have caught an Assault 2 charge for beating the shit out of that priest.

Yeah, what the fuck? Uppercut, for sure. That priest has a fever, and the only prescription is a vicious uppercut. Cleavland busdriver style.
