My friend overturned NY's gravity knife law yesterday
This one isn't too bad, but sometimes you seem very intent on being truly insulting toward me, and I don't get it. Even though I typically don't mind jokes at my expense, your jabs don't seem particularly intended to be humorous. What gives?Hmm, Thai Knee Dong?
OMG, that's it

WA's law is goofy as fuck. The way the law was written and the flick test is ridiculous. A Spyderco is not what a reasonable person should consider a "gravity knife".

I still can't do that snap/flick thing to pack a dip tin.packing chew
That appears to be one of the issues pointed out in the ruling. You can purchase a knife that meets the law, but over time it becomes illegal due to decreased friction. Or you can purchase a knife you think is legal, but a cop can flick it open (after a couple of failed attempts), and then say it fails a flick test.Unless I'm mistaken, every pocket knife I've ever owned is then a gravity knife. Little drop of gun oil to lube up the pivot point and they'll all flick open when you flick like you're packing chew
Truth hurts. Read material from the time period, not what the government wants you to think.

Primary source documents are important to any research, when available, but secondary synthesis is also extremely necessary. It is absolutely essential.Find memoirs from people who were involved. Most are available on line. Look up newspaper articles and debates or letters written by people during the war and the years leading up to it.
I don’t have specific links right now. If you are interested, pm and I’ll get you some.
To frame and understand how the war came to be, read Impending Crisis by Potter. Getting a bit long in the tooth, but it's held up very very well.what's your recommendation?
I... don't?I don't understand. How are you able to correctly react to a sick burn, if that's the case?
I think you're being too generous.Every time I see you post you get me confused thinking you're @Horse Style
Couple of things on that. The 25 grand thing wasn't you being shooped you into something suggesting you were a. It was people having a laugh at the combo of the money talk and you taking a really bad mirror pic that made you look funny, which you had just posted in the OT (it wasn't some old pic from a previous account laying around for years). And iirc you didn't care if people used it, and it was all OT/SB. Had you asked for it not to be used as an av, people should respect that. Plus, wasn't that shit in like 2013? That was even pre-Nos-OT-offshoot stuff. I don't think I've seen the 25 grand gif in probably 5 years. That was back when people were still being doxxed and shit (which we even did together once, fucking Spliff always got away clean lol).
There's also the more problematic part where BarryDillon can't report anything or complain about harassment stuff because of retribution, which is why I said something in the open (he had nothing to do with this). That's the environment here, the perception is that there's payback for doing the right thing. It's bad that people feel like reporting or complaining about some wrong stuff is going to get them fucked with. Aren't people always complaining about the "don't snitch" code that happens in some crime-ridden neighborhoods, because "don't snitch" is a huge part of what lets the criminals flourish? Even at a karate forum scale, it serves the same function.
Either way this sort of fucking with people is definitely an OT thing, and not a WR thing. People really need to learn how to play in the right place. Especially somebody like MistoGators/Austin (who had theav up), who does tons of trolling in here targeted at just a few people.
