That people generally suck, and there are massive double standards on what is 'acceptable' or 'desirable' in a leading male, versus what is even 'tolerable' in a leading lady.

Do I not venture out into the world enough or are the trolls just getting dumber?
The more return ban trolls we get the more dumb the overall demo gets, I think, because the smarter ones can only keep it up for so long before they go full r-word or stop.

Scars are good for stories lol.

I don't know. Most of my scars have really stupid stories.

Like aged 4, can I run faster than my buddy to pre school on rough asphalt (both knees)

Aged 6, got a new stopwatch, how long will my uncle take to go to his room and back?! walked against the wall corner (forehead)

Aged 9 or 10, can I destroy the windshield of this matchbox car with a Swiss army knife (in principle: yes, if the knife does not close and cut your thumbtip)

Aged 19, can we raid this scout camp (yes), can I put out the fire (yes), can I bump heads with guy trying to stop me (yes)

Etc. unless it's surgeries, battle scars, or really bad luck/accidents, scars tend to tell super dumb stories in my experience

I should add that was written in haste and I knew "detestable cunt" was not the ideal phrase even as I wrote it. Let's say, insufferably irritating. BBT hits that mark as well, of course. And yeah, to different degrees depending upon the shows is another point I'd have ideally included in the initial post.

The question is, does it always seem to me to be a man in these roles because it's true, or is that just my perception because I haven't seen (error: [insert media])?

@Khabib Khanate what do you think?
Oh I definitely agree with you, I can't think of a female version off the top of my head. I'd love to see a character like that getting told off by some female character who keeps getting shit on for being "naive" simply for being a decent person. And then everyone gets along without sarcastic asshole person without a hitch and live happily ever after.
You best try to make a break for it when it becomes clear nobody is coming. Or before you deteriorate to the point where you can't even make a raft.

Yeah, "boot straps" is a dumbass argument when you don't even have boots, but so is waiting for someone else to save your ass.

Both sides!!
@Gandhi
@Khabib Khanate

:D
In your defense when it comes to Islam it seems there's never a "both sides" take ;)

Lmao. Wow you're a dumb scar veteran.

I have a scar on my chin from wrassling with a girl my age when I was 4. We both fell down a slide that had some icy debris on it, except I went down on my face.

Second one is from skate sharpening my thumb.

Good times (not).

Scar 1 on eyelid and upper orbital got face smashed in a light pole outside The Exit
Scar 2 stabbed in hip during a robbery attempt
