I've eaten... at least 3 full pies to myself.
Beastly. I've managed most of a pumpkin and a good chunk of cherry.

Also I might have to take back what I said about not getting tired of it. The gas situation is getting critical.

Buy the ticket, take the ride

Yeah, they're dope. I like all animals, but I think cats are the most satisfying pets overall.

In my very nonprofessional opinion/experience, I think a person's emotional depth can be measured by how much they like animals. People who like all animals > people who like cats and dogs > people who like just dogs > people who don't like animals at all.

I will never trust someone who just doesn't like animals/pets at all. I assume they're emotionally shallow and boring. Donald Trump, for instance, apparently doesn't have any affection for pets/animals. And as we all know he has the emotional complexity/emotional intelligence of a vanilla wafer.

I'm pretty sure our beagle is autistic. He has horrible separation anxiety.

If we leave him home alone one of us has to go through a routine where we shower and run the hair dryer. If we don't he loses his shit when we leave and scratches at the door nonstop.

Going forward I'm only getting cats as pets, they are so much easier to deal with.

I used to hate cats for being bloodthirsty murder beasts, also for being girly. My girlfriend's cats have won me over though and now I love 'em. I'm not emotionally prepared to lose the boy, it kills me that he was already 11 when we met.

I'm a sucker for all animals though. I even had some black widows at one point.

They make you think they're girly

But when you really look in to things, they are savages in pretty clothing

They're more manageable for sure. When law students or prospective law students ask me for advice on how to handle law school, I always advise them of three things: (1) get a cat, (2) have regular sex, and (3) do not combine 1 and 2. Adopting a cat was key for my getting through law school, as cats are great for stress, help normalize your sleep schedule, and only require like 30 minutes of combined time a week.

Yeah, I've never been persuaded by the "girly" moniker, but I also had a street cat growing up and the cat I have now was a street cat too. I guess I might perceive them differently if I had like one of those flat-faced and fluffy persian cats. But mine have looked kind of like this sweetheart:

I like that I can be calling my cat over to get some pets and she'll just stare at me like I dont exist

But when she wants some love she'll just come sit on me and make me pet her. Weve got the same personality tbh. My time is mine and you're gonna just have to deal with that son

I have a couple threads going on so I am not going to make another one about this. That said I find it interesting that Asia still seems to be against gay marriage.

Taiwanese voters have rejected the legalization of same-sex marriage by passing a referendum that contradicts a Constitutional Court ruling.

Voters on Saturday passed the referendum, which restricts marriage to one man and one woman, according to The Associated Press.

Taiwan would have been the first nation in Asia to grant such rights as child custody and insurance benefits to same-sex couples, the AP noted.

The referendum, which was reportedly organized by conservative Christian groups, follows a May 2017 order from Taiwan’s top court instructing lawmakers to legalize same-sex unions within two years.

The vote is an advisory ballot initiative and does not have legal implications, but will likely prompt lawmakers to revisit the issue of same-sex marriage ahead of re-election in 2020, the AP reported.

Voters on Saturday also approved an initiative asking schools not to teach LGBTQ “education,” according to the news service.

The votes are considered a blow to LGBTQ rights in Asia, and have been condemned by Amnesty International as “a step backwards for human rights in Taiwan.”

How dare you.

Vanilla is great.

I don't really have a cat but I have been feeding a cat for the past couple years. I believe the cat was owned by my neighbors who moved. And they left the cat when they moved. The neighborhood cats have some sort of fight club and are constantly dueling with one another. I hear screams at night and sometimes the loser running away.

Your ex-neighbors are terrible people. You take that cat in right meow.

Charlottesville white nationalist rally murder trial begins today

Who's ready for this warrom shit storm?

He's charged with 1st degree murder. I'm really worried of this overcharging. Anyone know if north Carolina allows sliding murder guilty verdicts from the jury?

10 other criminal counts, so even if freed of murder will still get multiple assaults I feel, but the screening of racist killer goes free in racists America will be loud.

Meh. I don't think there will be one *knocks on wood*.

The most there will be is a few idiots like Yorkist or GSM posting conspiracy theory YT videos and edited rally footage to make it appear like the nazi guy, and not the dead girl, is the victim. Everyone else, who has already seen and dispelled those narratives, will probably laugh them off.

How do we even begin to fix this? (I'm sure somehow we will turn this in to a left vs right waste of time, but it was worth a shot)

A minimum-wage worker needs 2.5 full-time jobs to afford a one-bedroom apartment in most of the US

The federal minimum wage is far below what a worker needs to earn to afford a one-bedroom apartment.

    • Many minimum-wage workers can't even afford a modest one-bedroom apartment, according to the National Low Income Housing Coalition's annual report.
    • The national housing wage for a modest one-bedroom apartment is $17.90, while the federal minimum wage is $7.25.
    • A low-income worker earning the federal minimum wage would need 2.5 jobs to afford a one-bedroom apartment.

seen on farcebook..

I feel like beagles are quite terrible for separation anxiety. My goldie just milks us for treats whenever we leave him alone. He's actually excited when we leave because he knows he gets a treat when we come back. He runs to the spot where we give him treats when we return. Cheeky little bastard.

Straight up cash for the poor.

I have often wondered how someone making minimum wage can even afford to live. I know out here, $13/hr cannot get you a place without a couple roommates. You HAVE to have government assistance. And once you are on that ticket, you ain't getting off. Fucked up IMO
