There's an absinthe bar in Breckenridge that I like to hit when I'm up there. Always makes for a hard to remember evening, which I just assume was a good time.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the name "gay conversion" is a bit of an unfortunate misnomer. It actually means "straight conversion." I'd just hate to see you commit to it and be disappointed. Plus side, you'll probably meet some like-minded manly men. With shaved chests.

Even better. He recognizes the problems that mass immigration of people who don't hold similar values have on society. . It's not that hard of a concept to grasp.

Without getting into how weak all of that is, note that you're misunderstanding the phrase "limited gov't," which refers to the existence of a constitution. "Limited" in that context means "with limits," not "small." It's not even possible to meaningfully measure the "size" of gov't. And what's more, while white Americans tend to support low gov't spending in an abstract sense (not if you get more specific), that's not true of whites everywhere or of all subsets of white Americans, meaning that race is a poor explanation for it.

Damn I lived in Paradise, CA for several years in the early 90s, just saw that the entire town is burned down. I haven't had contact with my old friends in years but that's pretty much a mind blower. I also left an ex-wife back there but as dark as my sense of humor is I'm not in the mood for a joke.

I see that Trump is blaming the CA fires on "forest mismanagement" and threatening to withhold federal funds. How about there's not enough rain coming down and everything is dry as hell you sorry sack of monkey shit? People are dying and losing their entire lives and he's trying to score a cheap political point of some sort. What a contemptable human being.

He recognized that there are groups of people who are susceptible to fear mongering and identity politics and took advantage of that, true. But the point is us whities aren't somehow ethnically predisposed to the values this country was founded on, as you are suggesting, if half of us are willing to toss them aside and elect an authoritarian who wipes his ass with the constitution. I think the people you're talking about are mostly just xenophobes.

That said, I am a proponent of state's rights for the same reason. I encourage folks to congregate with like minded people and make a community that suits them, without a lot of blunt national policy interference. In a country this size there is certainly no need to force people who don't like each other to live in close proximity if they don't want to. On this point maybe we agree.

The buck I harvested last year was 11 points, it would have to be comparable to that for me to consider harvesting.

Yeah rutting season is pretty wild here in North Carolina even in Charlotte where I live now. My wife harvested a buck with our Honda Accord a few weeks ago. She was shaken up but OK, that was some expensive meat though.
