I was being super sarcastic with that. When I life weights I always end with about 30 mins to an hour on a treadmill. I'm too fat to run on one as it'd destroy the machine/my knees but keep the speed JUST below what would be jogging speed essentially. Usually on an incline.That's short term thinking IMO, I used to think the same way. Yes your body has a limited amount of adaptive energy at any one point in time but developing your cardiovascular system allows your body to deliver nutrients to your muscles more efficiently. Cardio develops new capillaries and improves flow in existing vascular systems. Long term you're better set up for continued gains.
Plus if you get in a fight that lasts more than 30 seconds that lack of cardio is going to bite you in the ass, so there's that.
I do hate having gotten back into Muay Thai/boxing as a sparring partner though.. kinda want to take a fight just to see how I'd do in my area.
