Don't have time or it's not a priority?

Nasty question right there

I'm not in consulting any more, but I work in a divisional strategy department of a large corporation. So my work hours are not crazy any more, but I still get up at 6 and I'm usually not home before 7 and then still want to spend a little time with my kid. So I need to find a routine that doesn't cost me a lot of time and still keeps me fit. My first measure now is to track my calorie intake.

Maybe our new building at work can also help. They will include a cardio training section.

Instead of haggling over that, we can agree to edits that aren't based on substance. If you want. What do you want not to be in yours?
I won't need to worry about that. You've already lost.

OK, we'll see. It's a bet on Silver's approach vs. naive polling.
That's the wrong frame. I wouldn't have taken the bet if your description were accurate. I don't take bets on propositions with near-even odds.

When I go into cutting down mode, I don’t necessarily count calories as much as I limit my portions. Just eat until you are satisfied then stop. Stay away from sweets and drink tons of water. You can’t go on a “diet”, they suck, which is why no one ever stays on it. Eat what you like, just don’t over eat. I mean, be sensible, but you don’t have to eat chicken and rice every damn day.

It works for me. I’m not a big guy and I can drop 10-15 lbs in a few weeks by just doing that.

You’ll need to cardio as much as possible too.

FUCK Cardio. Cardio means minus gains

Depends on your definition of gains.
LOL

I hate cardio and for some reason I never see any impact from it.

I did Kendo for 10 years like 3 days a week 2 hours at a time and lost next to no weight from it.

I get that, but those mega threads are basically unreadable and seem to invite trolling much more than smaller, more-focused ones. With regard to the stupid caravan issue, that's fine. Let the rubes get frothed up and post crazy CTs in a thread that is sequestered from the more-interesting parts of the forum. But it sucks when good stuff gets rolled into it. Maybe there should be a specific caravan megathread, a Soros hate megathread, and a racism megathread that are just permanently up.

The race thing is too broad that I'm just dumping any thread that along the same lines of what we already have.

Is there a thread specific with immigration that you were thinking of that got merged? I kept Sanos out of the European one at this point cause he put a decent amount of time into it.

On my end, I kind of lost track of one I had been following (shitty thread, though, so no great loss). More of a general comment.

I have no idea what Kendo is.

I think my issue is I am in a career path that was originally created by lawyers and shit so their mistress/wives had a job and as such the pay is still at that shite tier level.

My coworkers are always stunned I work 3 jobs with my other two being a barback and a bartender and I'm like "I don't have a husband or wife's salary to fall back on."

Course I could feel this way because of the housing situation in the northwest being utterly retarded.
As soon as you get a husband Greg, it'll be easier...

That's short term thinking IMO, I used to think the same way. Yes your body has a limited amount of adaptive energy at any one point in time but developing your cardiovascular system allows your body to deliver nutrients to your muscles more efficiently. Cardio develops new capillaries and improves flow in existing vascular systems. Long term you're better set up for continued gains.

Plus if you get in a fight that lasts more than 30 seconds that lack of cardio is going to bite you in the ass, so there's that.

It's not a surprise that males are less egalitarian than females, or that there is a weak but significant effect on the egalitarian tendencies of children depending on which parent has more decision-making power. Interesting read still. The more interesting part of male-dominated households to me is the asymmetry, and what I would expect is the difference in socialization outcomes when the mother is stronger in her limited role. That situation seems to work out okay, with families where "Dad was the boss but Mom was the one really running the house." I would expect that families with meek, subservient women would produce very anti-egalitarian children on average (among other problems, like gambling).
