Ending birthright citizenship is definitely the right way to go. I've had many students who are "US citizens" with zero connection to the US besides being born there.

However, I oppose Trump on this. The executive has no authority to do this. Constitutional amendment is the only way, and the RINOs + Democraps will never go for it.

My concussion story:
Took my gf at the time snowboarding and Sunday River, a mountain in Maine. She took a hard turn and hit the back of her head (she was wearing a helmet). I saw her sit up and just sit there for a bit, so I went to check on her and she was in a zombie mode with a blank look on her face. I started to ask her questions.
Me: You ok?
GF: I don't know.
Me: Do you know where you are?
GF: *long pause* Mount Sunapee? (a mountain in New Hampshire)
Me: ...okay, close. Do you know what day it is?
GF: *very long pause* I know it's not Saturday...I don't think it's Sunday. Is it Monday? I think today is a holiday.
Me: That's right. It's President's day. Do you remember that you owe me $50?
GF: *immediately* No I don't.

Obviously Trump is a clown, and the media shouldn't pay any attention to any aspect of the story other than that the president thinks he can unilaterally rewrite the Constitution, but what are the arguments for and against birthright citizenship?

You shouldn't be able to murder your baby in the womb just because you aren't ready to have a child. That is murder. We legislate against murder.

We also legislate what is obscene. You can't produce child porn and you shouldn't produce adult pornography. It is also obscene and has crippled society. It hurts the women making it and the men watching it.

Sexual relations involving desserts should be between a man and a pie or cake with a warm, smooth center or a woman and some form of rigid, chocolate-coated pastry. Anything else (such as a woman with a pie or a man with a chocolate-coated pastry) is an abomination in the sight of the Lord (thy God). Cakes are also not to lie with other cakes, unless there be rigid appendages on one (and only one) of them.

So your answer is yes that would legislate away more freedoms of others. But your defense is only the ones you think need to be legislated away.
