Yeah and thats wrong.
There are no US military bases in Sweden or Finland or Denmark. There might be one in Greenland.
And I am sure there are non in a lot of those countries.
I mean are there US bases in France, Canada?
Ukraine? Also the Baltic countries? That close to Russia..
According to that map almost every country in Europe has American military bases.

As far an I'm concerned Canada is a US military base.

I edited it into my previous post, but it does look very similar to the 2015 US military presence.

I noted a bunch of articles that used the image from patriotmyke without checking it though.
That page you posted even gives a list which in no way matches the map.

Yeah but presence and military bases is a big difference.
US has 700 Marines in Norway close to the Russian boarder. They are stationed in a Norwegian military base. And the place is used for arctic training.
I still have no clue about Denmark, to my knowledge there aren't any other than the Marines on the embassy. There is the US base Thule in Greenland.
I suspect it has to do with The Karup Base but there are no US troops.

The US left their base on Iceland in 2006 IIRC.

On the site I posted.. yeah they mentioned decommissioned bases as active.
US left the Canadian base in 73.

Scrolling some old lounge threads and this post by @HockeyBjj has me rolling.

"If anyone is not lurking in the Empire star attacked thread, you need to check out the last few pages. Rip calling a mod gay really kicked things into overdrive

Rational Poster got banned (month long), RR and Pan are begging posters to stop reporting people simply because they're arguing with them, greoric saw the mods engaging posters and crawled out of the woodwork to ask if he can make threads about the biological differences in race, and sniper is just poking all the embers with a stick to flare them back up while the rest of us popcorn munch from the sidelines"

@Trotsky response.

"*in meek voice*
"Excuse me, sir, I know you're busy but if it wouldn't be too much to ask, I sure would like to use the N-word.""

....

@Lead and Wai with a nice short exchange lol

"Do any of you guys live in Vegas?"
-wai

"Please do not go to Vegas. I fear for your well being if you step foot in that city. Over-leveraging has far more consequences there."
-Lead
Absolute classic
That thread had me howling

I'm not usually one to talk myself up, but that thread... I think it may be the finest work i've ever done on the internet, let alone Sherdog. I was laughing for days -days- over that shit. I'm still partially in shock that someone actually wrote War Room fan fiction, and that it could be so ungodly awful lmao. If that thread doesn't get me some kind of award this season, I just don't know what will.

@Ruprecht

Your link to quartz gets weird when I scroll down..
Greenland is grey (0 bases) and US has Thule, BUT they might have put that under Denmark since Denmark is pinkish. But the other map with US presence has Greenland pink so it should be pink here too.
Secondly they claim Iceland has a base but thats not the case
"Naval Air Station Keflavik (NASKEF) was a U.S. Navy station at Keflavík International Airport, Iceland, located on the Reykjanes peninsula on the south-west portion of the island. NASKEF was closed on 8 September 2006,"

Also Ireland... the US bases there closed in 1918.
So it was during WWI

Who claimed Iceland still has a base? I know the US forces still refueled in Iceland after 2006 though. Which is what I meant about "military presence" being ambiguous. Same deal with Thailand and Cambodia.

Did the First Lady just put golf balls in for Christmas decorations? How fitting

Quartz has it as pink under their picture named "US military bases abroad".
Greenland is gray and there is Thule Airbase.
