I prefer insomniac which I think was their best album or 39 smooth.

I saw them that tour when that album came out. The Phoenix something in Pontiac which is just the roof of a parking structure.... and it was like 100 degrees and was some of the most ferocious pat downs for contraband I have ever experienced.

Not really sure what to point to outside of Val Kilmer's performance

He actually outshined Kurt Russell on cool factor which was shocking, but Kurt practically took over as the director of that flick and Val had all the best lines of dialogue. He didn't exactly look too bad during that era either, wtf happened.

I've heard nothing but good things from the dude. That day, however, is when he was closing Hydra Head for good and was having a major sale. Was probably irritable from dealing with the closing and the fuckload of people who showed up. Had to argue with him to use the bathroom and while I was in there rocking a piss I saw it hanging up in the bathroom so I grabbed it when I left.
