Im not trolling I just dont like that stuff

I assure you i can both be aware of a bands talent and influence and still not like them

This is what i like .

I’m assuming these bands have fingernails on chalkboard solos.

I was into the punk/ska scene in school with friends from a band. I always fell into the melodic punk genre though, No Use For a Name, other bands that could write great melodies. Screaming and playing horns got old, although I always preferred the talent of the horn players than the rest of the band.

Don't you get sick of the exact same rhythm in Ska, though? That could literally be any ska song. It's barely a cover.

No

90s third wave is my favore kind of music. Has been for most of my life now

and it doesnt all sound the same to me .... Ska isnt about the guitar. Its about that bassline and the horn section.

thats as close as I get to liking any pink floyd. That cover rocks

So, we can atleast both agree that Sublime and early No Doubt was good, right?

Both have thier moments but neither is a favorite of mine. Spiderwebs has an awesome sound to it though ill give them that and I think I like DOubts oi to the world better than the og version

Sure, but much like Reggae, 90% of the shit sounds identical.

There were only a few bands like "Sublime", who really took advantage of the sound and made it their own.
