Sounds like someone never had properly cooked turkey.

The Griswolds had a bad turkey.

Make friends, Sara. I already told you.
Sure I’ll just advertise online that I have dried goods and bottled water, looking to make friends with a survivalist that will take care of me if shit hits the fan, but not expect anything in return.

No Your mom can’t cook a turkey. Is this the game we’re playing now.

“Your momma so stupid she can’t even cook a turkey”
I'm saying anyone who says the Turkey is "The worst part" isn't subject to someone properly cooking a turkey. If your mom is the culprit, then sorry, I don't make the rules. "Cabbage Cole Slaw" is peasant food, no judgement, but A)All "Cole Slaw" consists of cabbage, B)That's like saying "My mom makes the best Kraft brand Maccaroni and Cheese out of a box!". Weird to follow that with "Classically trained".

idk even know what "Classically trained" means; was she like, carrying buckets of mayo based slaw dressing up some steps with Pei Mei on her back or something?

The coincidences really do keep piling up. There's got to be a story in there somewhere. It's fun to groove over how things seem to work out so often, but what's cool about it is it's a great sanity gauge. If I start taking it too seriously I know I'm also starting to check out and it's time for drastic action. Kind of like having a reference image in a lucid dream, which, uncoincidentally, is what my whole life seems to be. Good times.

This is another one of those objective subjective things I keep bringing up. I have no idea how unusual it is--I'm not trying to come across as some savant--but I know it's not illusory. My emotional side is free to groove along feeling kinda special and enjoying the fruits of these random occurrences while my logical self just sits back and goes, yeah but nah, dude, cool yes, parapsychological, nuh unh. If that control starts to slip and I begin to think I'm getting signals from a higher power or some shit, it's time to get help.

Semi-related story that I think is pretty hilarious. Via the PVR catching up on Jeopardy episodes with the missus (I couldn't deal with watching for a while after Trebek died, weird as that sounds) and one contestant is really this tiny Asian woman with a high pitched voice who spoke really fast, so it sounded like the audio was on fast forward, and I correctly picked her to win before the game started because I wanted more laughs. In her interview that show or the next one, can't recall for sure, she talked about being a finalist in the Bulwer Lytton Fiction Contest, which I brought up on here just the other day, as you may recall.

Keeps life interesting.

You never know, you may be a shaman of sorts and not even know it.

Call @RR he'll find you a place in his mansion. Or @TeTe will put you up in his guest room. Or you can call me and I'll bring you more water
Thanks, but I have a house and everything we are only discussing end of the world situations.

Dapsy in your opinion and experience what are the hardest meats to cook
Lamb and Duck.
There's a great french-language mini-doc about how Duck wasn't seared or roasted for years and years in classical cooking because antiquity didn't have the proper understanding of it's texture, fat content, etc and that they didn't have the proper equipment to "perfect" the protein. This is why they did it confit style for so long (which is still probably the most common way of cooking duck in my experience).
