Then I'd ask for your statistical take on LaMelo ball being a #1 pick despite offensive inefficiency in lower level competition.

I mean, he's a chucker. Rein in his volume and he should normalize I think. I watched one of his games in Europe, they treated dude like he was Jordan lol.

I guess I don't know shit about anything, because my recent awful job interview "blew us away."

The only interview I ever had that didn't result in an offer was the one I considered to be the best I ever had. I was on top of the theory, I had a portfolio, and I could show exactly what I knew and had to apply it. Got passed over.

By contrast, the worst job interview I ever had resulted in me getting the position. As it turns out, being nervous as shit and formally introducing yourself to the receptionist is a good thing when she's been there for 15 years and everyone loves her. Put in an overwhelming word for me.

I say all this to say, I have no idea how job interviews work. I just go in and try to woo them with my personality.

Lots of room for interpretation here - but at what point does the party's strategy have to shift from rolling the dice on marginal centrist victories to actually pushing a distinctly leftward platform? Once the demographics and congressional seats are more favourable?

America finally adopting M4A in like.. 2045 seems kinda hard to come to terms with.

I don't know how you're defining "distinctly leftward" platform. I think that the platform has been moving leftward for a while, and the change has accelerated recently. But generally, I think the more popular you are, the bigger the changes are that you can make, though you if you're a Democrat, you also have to take into account the ways in which the system is designed to disadvantage the left (and I agreed with the big changes proposed to try to fight that second factor--like court packing, killing the filibuster, and even adding Senate seats; and I'd favor even bigger ones).

As long as we have half the country willing to vote for people who want to roll back the gains we've already made on healthcare (plus a portion of the other half that can't even bother to support people who are trying to expand coverage), I think something like M4A is way out of reach.

I think regardless of strategy, we have the gov't that we collectively want, though it's to the right of that because of the Senate and the Republican dominance of the courts. Change has to come at the level of the population, and that is hard because there's also a big rightward lean relative to reality in the media as a whole (that is, including specialty media).

Bezos is on his way to being the first trillionaire. He is going to buy all of the bootstraps.

In TX, in less than a week, 600,000 pounds of food was given out.

lol

AOC is the future, absolutely, but she's not ready yet. I don't think any of the squad members have the requisite discipline at the moment.
The funny is part is that by the time they're even half of Pelosi's age, they'll either be considered moderates due to the natural change of time (unless they go further left?), or they'll intentionally become moderate due to age/experience.

That sounds like communism.

Only person who can't appreciate a good broth would say that about soup but then you say you like miso and ramen, I can only assume you've just only ever had shitty soup.
You forgot one other kind of person: A person who can appreciate making controversial statements just for the hell of it. Even then I couldn’t abandon my beloved miso soup and ramen though lol.

It’s a very weak draft class. Terrible year to have a top five pick

Covid dancing on college basketball's grave imo. I'm amazed the football powers that be decided to brute force through it.

I'm impressed how a geriatric like Tom Brady can take a terrible team like the Buccs and made them viable, all during COVID while living in Florida.

Nancy Pelosi, of course.

I...don't know if this is accurate.
