This post is perfectly acceptable.

Well the lockdown in my state has just been called off.
Apparently one of the quarantine security guards who claimed he'd only visited the Pizza bar where the other quarantine security guard worked was lying.
Actually he worked there as well (I'm assuming he was paid cash or something). Which was why they were initially worried about a new, much more infectious version of Covid, since he wouldn't have had direct contact with anyone infected, and had only briefly been in the same location with someone who had been infected less than 24hrs previously. Then the peeople he infected would have been in contact with him less than 24hrs after his brief exposure.
In fact though, he'd just been bullshitting. Surprisingly he's not facing any charges.

I'd love it if political talk was moved to the OT... Or made a sub of the OT with OT rules.
It would immediately turn into a festering Nazi shithole, with quadruple the underage content problems.

That’s a dumb partisan post, not a big deal, I was floored when he said he had hoped Ron Paul died basically for having a different opinion.

As far as I know, Ron Paul was one of those do-nothing politicians existing on the fringes, so you can’t really say he passed some terrible policy that adversely affected millions, so it’s not easily justified to be happy with him dying.

He’s just a guy who has a bad set of ideas to Trotsky and well, he said what he said.

You can post double quotes, but you can't quote double quotes. Add a dot to their post to make it display and quote notify.

To All Jiu Jitsu Enthusiasts:

My responsibility as a 7th Degree Red and Black Belt is to protect the integrity of the real Gracie Jiu Jitsu and to warn you about imitators. If you are just starting out in Jiu Jitsu or have been practicing awhile, I recommend reading or learning about our history and what makes Gracie Jiu Jitsu an effective martial art. When you choose a Jiu Jitsu school, there are certain criteria that the school must meet:

1. There needs to be a full time certified black belt as head instructor.

2. The only person that may promote anyone is a recognized Black belt.

3. Beware of McDojos, too many of these schools are creating chaos with gimmicks. Gracie Jiu Jitsu does not have tests for belts or allow payment for stripes.

4. Grand Master Carlos and Hélio Gracie created the belt system for children and adults. Each stripe and belt has unique value. There should not be any deviations, additions or subtractions. Belts are not guaranteed; they are a representation of ones competence both mentally and physically. They are not a representation of the students’ monetary wealth.

5. Brown and Purple belts can be good assistants but should be actively working and focusing on earning their Black belt.

6. Self defense is the corner stone of martial arts. Purely focusing on Sport Jiu Jitsu is a mistake. Self-defense needs to be an integral part of every school teaching Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

7. Schools should be actively involved in certified tournaments and competitions. Competition like live sparring allows your technique to evolve. Both are an important component of Jiu Jitsu and should not be overlooked.

8. Training with a GI is imperative. Every world champion spends significant time training in the GI. This is not by chance. The GI forces you to sharpen your technique and be aware of the details that will make you successful.

Greed, complication, inefficiency and breaking tradition is weakening the REAL JIU JITSU!
SAY NO TO THE CORRUPTION OF JIU JITSU!!

@Trotsky say what you want but the fedsoc judges can sing

I also find it strange that Texas is still on zoom and Southern District here in San Diego is requesting I argue a summary judgement motion in person in two weeks.

He's friends with the right people. He should have been banned about ten times by now.
I had plenty of friends as a mod/admin, quite rare I was able to unilaterally do anything to change fate. I'd argue on their behalf, rather strongly, but there are limits. If it was like that @Fawlty would never gotten cards, let alone banned, or poor dusk alumni

It's like that Negan scene in the walking dead sometimes, just watching your guys get their brains bashed in.

I'd love it if political talk was moved to the OT... Or made a sub of the OT with OT rules.
The OT was a singular non-mma general topic based forum and then they created the war room in around 2003/2004 iirc and mayberry. Then P&M and on and on. By stripping a lot of the content away to create the subforums, the OT mostly just became about the posters themselves, which was essentially callout threads, troll threads and the like. It's its own thing now, you either like it or you dont.

Anyone here experience trouble breathing / snoring at night after taking some damage to their nose?

Early this year someone landed a pretty hard knee to my nose when we were sparring and I definitely heard lots of crunching when it happened.

Now recently I find I have trouble breathing at night after I lie down and apparently I now snore all the time and it is really affecting my sleep quality. Think I'll need to get some surgery to fix this... sigh....
Broken three times. Snore like a grizzly. I can generally only breathe through one nostril.
