This ain't a sport anymore. This is 100% entertainment with this new ownership. I expect even more silly shit to happen going forward. This is all about money.

Khabib said this is about respect. Unfortunately the sport he thinks hes defending no longer exists.

Good post. I'd like it, but I can't.

UFC turned itself into a circus and now the fighters are acting like clowns. They chose this path.

Dana ducking all responsibilty at the press conference was priceless. What a scumbag.

For sure.

Ultimately though, the man willing to die for what he believes will always win, IMO. I dont believe we believe in anything nor are we willing to die for it as a whole.

That's what happens when you destroy your national identity.

Yeah, Conor and the bus incident was already bad. But Khabib should be banned for life.
Jumping out of the cage and attack people. This has got to be on another level.
And that happening in Las Vegas under the Nevada commision?

Punching someone is worse than throwing a deadly weapon through a window and getting glass in people's eyes?

(CNN)Midterms, look what you made Taylor Swift do.

In a rare move, singer Taylor Swift has weighed in on politics in a major way, endorsing Tennessee Democrats Phil Bredesen and Jim Cooper, who are running for Senate and House of Representatives, respectively.
By her own admission, Swift has been "reluctant" to voice her political opinions in the past, but, she said in an Instagram post, "due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now."

The Salt-Right is going to be devastated.

I'm having a Taylor swift CD burning bonfire tonight come on by boys

Also what I didn't like about Khabib is that he immediately tried to turn himself into the victim at the press conference.
Trying to justify it saying Conor did this and that. And people shouldn't be talking about what he did.
I am not a Conor Fan but at least he owned up to the stuff he did. Not trying to play the victim after.
If you pull something like that. At least stand by it like a man after. You can still apologize but don't make yourself out to be the victim and a lot of but what about.

3 Months and $5K if they didn't contest it, $20K and 9 Months if they did.
Ok so six months for Khabib and $10 grand if he doesn't contest cause you know inflation.

Yeah, good choices @HereticBD, @sniper, and @HomerThompson. The thing about Pettis is that even when he's getting his ass kicked, he gives off this vibe like, "I'm awesome and this is just a temporary setback" (like @Greoric in a thread). And when he gets clocked, he's like, "try that again, motherfucker," and then like, "touche', but can you do it again?" And he looks impressive the whole time.

Ferguson, on the other hand, gets a lot of mileage out of some pretty minor gifts. Top 10 p4p fighter probably, but less naturally gifted than anyone on the list other than maybe Dillashaw.

It's easier to "own up" to stuff when you know you won't be punished

She finally realized that in this day and age you gotta get political to keep some fans.

Conor also apologized for his incident publicly, is normal.

Agreed. That was disappointing. He could've worked it so much better, but he really seems clueless of American culture (if that's the right term for this)

It might not be culture, but it's definitely American.
He judged it right at the start when he blamed the media, but lost his way when he brought up religion.

He should have pointed to Hillary and all the deleted emails.
That would have gotten him off with a soft warning.

Trump would have intervened personally on behalf of Khabib.

In a surprise turn of events newly appointed judge Kavaungh resigned on his first day in office to take on the defense team in the Khabib case.

Former Judge Kavanagh': "I can't stand idly by seeing another upstanding man fall victim to a Clinton conspiracy"
