This is my most common criticism of stand up comedians in general. Like Hasan Minhaj at the 2017 correspondents dinner. Just brilliant, but waaaay too rapid.

To be fair, time constraints.
But (I had to google and watch, never having seen it) he was funny as shit. So many people in that crowd looked like joy caused them physical pain, though.

This last two weeks 7 people from my social circle committed suicide.

GET HELP if you need it sherbros. Depression and bad events can make us do crazy stupid things, and none of it good at the end of it all.

Condolences.

But if 7 people from your social circle have committed suicide in two weeks, either you have far, far too many friends or you definitely joined a cult.

I have two close friends, and both are my mom.

I was thinking he probably was in or currently in the military. By the time my one friend was in for a year, he knew multiple people who killed themselves.

I’ve known four people who’ve committed suicide. It’s always shocking, at least to me.

I took it really hard when a buddy of mine passed this way recently. He had been paralyzed for quite a while, and he lived far away but every time we got together he seemed in high spirits. It really hurt when I found out he died of sepsis, he just stopped taking care himself, stopped cleaning his tubes and whatnot that he relied on. Such a horrible way to go for somebody who really never deserved his fate like that...

You really feel like YOU’VE failed when shit like that happens.

Since I was in sixth grade I've had a family friend that was so close you considered them family or actual family pass away.

In the last 2 years guys I considered friends from high school about 4 have committed suicide.

Yeah, it's kind of contagious. I know newspapers generally don't cover suicides (unless there are special circumstances, and then there usually is a bit in the coverage about prevention) because of some evidence that the reporting causes more people to do it. Can't imagine how that fucks with the survivors, though. Condolences.
