Covid to start and several underlying conditions after that. He was beautiful. In the end, his body just gave out. But I got to say everything that he meant to me in life and watched him breathe his last breath.
When and if you feel like it , tell us a funny story about him

I just saw the Bill Burr bit about white women and I knew I was right to be a fan.

Chad crashed 2 cars in one night. It was some dance at the HS. He crashed on the way to get his date. My dad took him another one. He crashed the 2nd after dropping off the date. When my dad went to get him the 3rd car broke down....In one night he managed to disable the entire family fleet. They had to catch a ride to church the next morning.... that small town life.. not sure what my dad was thinking taking him the second car

I work in law, know a lot of old dudes.

ACT right? Surprisingly it's less of a retirement village than SA, although Tasmania's the eldest.
Still, I know plenty of old people and I've never been invited to lawn bowls.
Closest I've come is waking up on a bowling green half naked on a Sunday morning with people bowling around me.

Yeah, ACT. I get invited to lawn bowls through work, often by people in their 40s. Usually it is for old folks at your local club but there is a local rugby bar that is more all ages.

40s? That's frightening.
Still, if I worked in a job where it was obligatory to go to some sort of social mixer (which in IT I never have. There's no mandatory social anything, including skills), I'm not sure whether I'd hate lawn bowls more than a corporate box at the footy.
AFL is such a state religion that people get offended when I tell them I have no interest in ball sports.

That’s awful and beautiful at them same time, if that makes any sense. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Something I forgot to mention about the embarrassing ER visit. The PA was pretty hot, and when she rolled the finger tourniquet up my finger, it was very reminiscent of rolling on a condom, and it was such a turn-on I sneezed. So, there's that.

I am the same re the NRL. I only watch union. There is NRL tipping discussion the executive engages in during conference calls that I dont entertain.
