Aim assist for a competitive game sounds really stupid. So, before it was a pain to play these games due to cheats getting head shots all the time so the solution was to give everyone help aiming? SMH
It did create some lol moments for YouTubers I watch that play Siege
"FUCK"
"What?"
"If we were on console I would have had that headshot"
"You suck bruh"

The potato aim moments when watching guys that are good fuck up with a mouse and keyboard is great.

Lol people are really running with "he's too stupid to brush his teeth but he's such a mastermind that he's faking his Covid test, if he doesn't die I know he's lying" lol I can't.

I don't think he's lying, but it wouldn't take a mastermind to just say "I have COVID" when you don't have COVID. I can do it right now: I have COVID. But I don't. That didn't take any great intelligence. You can train a parrot to do it (though I believe parrots are very intelligent animals).

It reminds of when he called a press conference to address his birther investigation. He tried to turn it into an opportunity to promote his hotel or something, and people were saying, "what a genius." As if he invented the idea of saying something that wasn't true and counting on people believing that it was true.

I don't think it's that simple for a POTUS to lie and say "hey my aide, wife, and myself have Covid, we'll quarantine" like regular online Joe's like you or me without getting exposed by at least a dozen ways, but okay, sure.

All they have to do is say it and then quarantine. Doesn't take a mastermind.

BTW, what happens to our bet if Trump drops out of the next debate because of COVID?

So, you didn't know that all White House officials are taking like, literal daily tests, or that it would be impossible for him and Melania to fake a positive test say, Saturday morning? Or are you going full conspiracy theory and saying "many people could be in on it"?

Also, nothing, he has Covid, he's not saying "oh I don't want to show up because there's a Covid spike and I'm scared" like we agreed would be a loser, he actually has it and cannot appear at the 2nd debate due to guideline, 14 days of quarantine, etc.

They wouldn't have to fake the test. They could just say that they tested positive. I'm not saying he did it. I'm saying it wouldn't require him being a mastermind to just say something that isn't true. Lots of dumb people can pull that off (though few people of any intelligence level do it with the frequency that he does).

Hmm. OK.

Aim assist on console is fine because a controller is a really inefficient tool for FPS games.

But having aim assist on controllers for PC games is an attempt to even the playing field, and I often find it obnoxious.

Holy shit, that's just evil. I always figured that the alcohol problem in Russia is due to the cold weather but I never figured it went so much deeper. That Tolstoy quote hits the nail on the head, alcohol truly is a scourge upon civilized society. Added to the sig.

Btw @Trotsky knowing that Lenin was a prohibitionist ups his rank in my all time leftist GOAT rankings.
This is what essentially turned me off playing RPGs years ago. No matter what the battle system, they all got really repetitive in the mid-game where you're essentially just putting in the work over and over for XP/skill points/whatever, and it just becomes a chore I can't stick with because I get too bored. Max Payne had a fully developed story and although it was linear, it was redeemed by the engaging progression of the game but I know that doesn't suit everyone and you don't see many of that quality I don't think.

The game trailer I commented on before for the Cyber Punk game seems like it could have a good compromise between story and openness but I'm wary of wishful thinking when it comes to games. It is difficult to have an open world without running into that problem of too many quests to just get powered up until you can take on the main story quests.
Overall I agree, not generally an RPG fan. I only played MMORPGs when I had friends to play ti with and then I almost never played by myself, only when we partied up.
Just throwing in my 2 cents. I could never get into Fallout, but I think it's just because I was playing a borrowed game and I never had the manual or the chance to really embrace the game concept. For a total newb, what version would you suggest if you wanted to really hook someone on it who is looking for a strong narrative?
tl;dr I've only played Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4 and New Vegas is the best one by far for various reasons.

I tried Fallout 3 at first and didn't care much for it though it has some pretty iconic quests. Basically the story of the game is you're looking for your father but he's always in another castle and it feels like that plot line only exists to make you go from town to town where you're then given a bunch of side quests to take up your time.

Fallout New Vegas is much better overall. The main story is good fun and has many different ways it can unfold. But even side quests are fairly well done and different from one another. They offer a lot of replay value because depending on your skills the main and side quests can be very different and allow you take to take radically different approaches with very different endings. For instance, there's an important story character who you can, if your charisma is high enough and you're of the opposite sex, seduce and then kill if you want which changes things bigly. If not they can go on to continue playing an important part in the story. Even the side quests are like this; one of them involves your character being duped and if your intelligence is high enough or you have enough points in a certain skill you can reveal the plot well before you normally would.

Fallout 4 on the other hand feels like a downgrade. There are a lot of neat mechanics that they add that flesh out the combat which is admittedly a bit stale compared to some other shooters. The settlement system is useful at times and feels fertile for game play opportunities but ultimately feels pointless. But what really sucks is that, as I said earlier, almost all the quests boil down to being side quests which gets really repetitive. And unlike in FNV you can almost never avoid combat as virtually every quest devolves into killing the enemy. FNV allows you to avoid combat and use alternative ways to complete quests much more often so you as the player do feel like you have options to explore. There are exceptions in F4, like one of the character quests, but overall its meh. For instance I love charisma builds precisely because in FNV they give you many options in many quests but in F4 most of the perks are combat related and passing speech checks virtually never changes the outcome of a conversation, you just additional dialogue options that give you some bonus XP.

Oh also FNW has some really fun DLCs. All are good and unique from each other but by far Dead Money is my favorite. Its basically a survival horror take on Fallout and its awesome, the most fun I ever had playing Fallout. Challenging too, I couldn't really do it with my first character so I loaded out of it and only palyed it with my second one. But it was worth it.

Liberals have been calling Trump Hitler and worst things. A fascist, the worst thing to ever happen to America, etc. Just balls deep TDS for four years.

And now I'm supposed to be praying for him and sending thoughts and prayers?

No thanks.

Bud, just send him some thoughts and prayers. It is simple. Your thoughts are he is a dick, and you pray he suffers discomfort from covid. Now all you gotta do is just send it.

They wouldn't have to fake the test. They could just say that they tested positive. I'm not saying he did it. Lets say he was stupid enough to say "hey guys, we're positive, looks like I was wrong about Covid, time to lock up for 14 days minimum". He and Melanie are currently with doctors working through it. He has to test tomorrow, and Sunday, and Monday, and every day, and even after it's over he'll still be getting tested. There's no way he can just run a bunch of negative tests every day in a row and we're not gonna hear about it by brunch. The only way he, the POTUS, could lie about it and actually pull it off would have to be some mastermind Lex Luthor infiltration out of a comic book, and the likelihood of that coming from him of all people is near 0%.

TLDR: Dude has it.

I think you're unnecessarily complicating it. I don't deny that he has it (I think it works against him more than it helps, even if it allows him to avoid another humiliating debate performance). My point is just that it doesn't take a mastermind to just say that something is true when that thing is not true. I would agree that if he were lying, he'd eventually be outed for it.

I think that actually goes to one of Lenin's most glaring character flaws: his rigid personal severity. For instance, Krushchev also despised drunkards and persons who were irresponsible with their station and thought drinking to excess reflected poorly on a man's character, but he still drank socially to politick. If Lenin were more flexible in that way, he might not have cultivated such an ultra-serious, and ultimately deadly, culture in high Soviet bureaucracy.
