Lol people are really running with "he's too stupid to brush his teeth but he's such a mastermind that he's faking his Covid test, if he doesn't die I know he's lying" lol I can't.
While I don't really doubt he has Covid, if Trump told me it was sunny outside, I would bring an umbrella.

I mean yea, he's the Primetime GOAT P4P at lying, but like, he has Covid lol. There's some super CT stuff floating around like "Oh he pulled off a Lex Luthor to hide from Biden" or "he wants the economy and stocks to tank again before the election so he can say it needs him" or "he's trying to become a martyr for the Right". Like what? Let's not lower ourselves to these absurd levels this is crazy CT talk, Alex Jones stuff.

Last night was legit the last day he had a chance to win re-election. Him catching Covid 30 days out ended it for him. It's over now.

@TheMinority First of all Belgium is part of NATO. Secondly, I'm American. Thirdly, Americans get involved in politics worldwide, so as long as dorks like you comment on European matters, Europeans have a right to comment on your politics.

Gotten to.

Btw- you're still an irrelevant belgium.

Ah I see. Yeah the problem with some Bethesda games is that they are a mile wide and an inch deep. I'd rather get much fewer hours of unique gampeplay than a lot of repetitive gameplay

I know we've gone on and on about it already but FNV had some pretty unique vaults which are basically the Fallout equivalent of dungeons. Meanwhile in F4 the missions were so stale. Of course there;s the meme about "another settlement needs our help" but even the story quests didn't feel that interesting to me. So many of them boil down to being fetch quests whereas FNV had quests that had character drama with potentially very different endings as well as very different ways to play them. Contrasting those two games is a great way to prove the point that better tech != better game.
This is what essentially turned me off playing RPGs years ago. No matter what the battle system, they all got really repetitive in the mid-game where you're essentially just putting in the work over and over for XP/skill points/whatever, and it just becomes a chore I can't stick with because I get too bored. Max Payne had a fully developed story and although it was linear, it was redeemed by the engaging progression of the game but I know that doesn't suit everyone and you don't see many of that quality I don't think.

The game trailer I commented on before for the Cyber Punk game seems like it could have a good compromise between story and openness but I'm wary of wishful thinking when it comes to games. It is difficult to have an open world without running into that problem of too many quests to just get powered up until you can take on the main story quests.

Just throwing in my 2 cents. I could never get into Fallout, but I think it's just because I was playing a borrowed game and I never had the manual or the chance to really embrace the game concept. For a total newb, what version would you suggest if you wanted to really hook someone on it who is looking for a strong narrative?

Yup.

"Putting the N in CUTS!" LMAO

So, what if Trump and Pence are both laid up with Covid, putting Pelosi in charge, and then Trump wins the election? How fookin' typically #fuck2020 would that be?

I'm saying this as a conservative... Trump is going to lose by a landslide. He's a 1 and done. A flash in the pan.

I prefer to look at it optimistically. Let's say he really has it. It becomes likely Pence has been exposed repeatedly and also will turn out to have it. I'm not wishing any permanent affliction on either of them, but if they were laid up for, let's say, a couple of months maybe, during which time Pelosi would be acting POTUS, it could save the American people a lot of grief. Hopefully the CT's wouldn't get too out of hand and there'd be a smooth transition of power if Biden wins. Particularly if you had Pence and Trump publicly announcing/tweeting that they are sick but getting better or some such to assuage fears they've been disappeared or poisoned by the deep state, the process of moving on from this year from hell could begin in earnest.

If you haven't given it a try, jump into The Witcher series. III overhauled it's combat to be more easily approachable if you are a peasant like me on console with a controller but those three games give you a taste of what CD Projekt Red makes their game likes.

Open world, lot's of choice, even seemingly miniscule choices may not have an impact on the overall story but you can read about or see the after effects of it, BUT... I never felt like I was grinding for XP just to level up. The fact that CDPR did Witcher is what has me so excited for CyberPunk.

If they got very sick it would be a good wakeup call to the anti maskers at least.

I never thought he had a chance of winning in the first place, then I thought he could not withstand impeachment, then I thought all but die hards would abandon him after "you have the good genes, you know that?" There is a saying--no one ever went broke underestimating the stupidity of the American people.

Someone made the observation that Trump's strategy had clearly become to engage as much of his base to come out to vote as possible and ignore any attempt to convert Dems or undecideds. It strongly suggests to me they believe they can successfully suppress enough of the vote to win or that the Trumpster fire doesn't even want to win re-election.

That said, I have a bet in the bet thread to back my conviction that he will lose, but it's by no means a sure thing given the shameless hypocrisy of the other Republicans and their supporters. With Barr as Attorney General and a heavily biased Supreme Court, anything could happen if there are disputes over election irregularities.

Pelosi in charge would hopefully put the brakes on all that and save the country from potentially total chaos. Now, I'm not saying I know what's going to happen for certain under any circumstances. But they are two possible scenarios, neither of which are at all unlikely from my (limited) vantage point.

Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas man. Two of the GOAT RPGs. Fallout 3 was 10/10, NV made some enhancements to gameplay, but the tone/story in F3 was second to none. Avoid Fallout 4 like the plague.

Outta likes and that made me sad because I'm totally down with this. I played a fair bit of the first one, and I think it was the magic system I got tired of. I don't blame any of the games for this by the way. It's all about the bipolar combined with adhd that causes me grief trying to finish any game, but especially RPGs. Set them aside for anymore than about 2 days and when you come back you feel like you have to relearn everything about the game all over. It used to happen all the time that I would pick up a game when I was manic and play a lot, then go downhill and set it aside, only to have totally lost interest the next time I tried to play. Sadly, I just stopped playing games altogether.

But I think I can get Witcher III cheap so I might give it a go.

The House passed a relief bill last night. Like 218 to 207 with several Dems joining Republicans on the "nay" side.

If you are on Xbox I think it's on Game Pass so you can download it plus some of the DLC for free. Not all of the DLC though, the best DLC of the bunch, the Vampire one, I think you still need to pay for.

So is the #trump2020 hashtag a left wing or right wing thing now? <45>
