It's such a laborous endeavour. You can't just simply introduce yourself, you have to add your personal pronouns out of respect or whatever the fuck. I will say, I don't know why the singular ''they'' gets people so hot under the collar? Like, Peterson and Shapiro are all like ''THEY IS NOT SINGULAR RREEEEEE'' but...man I find myself saying singular they all the time.

Can't say I've encountered anything of the sort here either, although I'm sure it exists.
The only uni students I have any contact with are computer science students though, so not exactly a hotbed for that sort of thing.

They were talking about it in Sweden IIRC. It was suggested to use the Finnish 3rd person singular pronoun hän which is pretty similar to the Swedish han and hon. People were all like
