Justin just completely outclassed Tony in that fight. That's the problem with hyping up long win-streaks against fairly weak competition. He's always fun to watch, but a lot of his matchups started to be head-scratching after a while. He's fought once a year since 2016, when he had his best win over Dos Anjos. Then he fought another dude on a win streak against fringe-level fighters in Kevin Lee, backed by a couple of WEC legacy guys who are clearly well removed from their primes. Then he got paired up with Justin and just got the absolute shit kicked out of him. I think Justin was also an unknown variable. He got knocked out in both of his top-level bouts. Fights like those are necessary to figure out who actually belongs at the top, and Justin proved his place clearly. Chandler would be another great match for Tony; Another litmus test.

Tony has also spent an entire career being way too hittable and relying on outlasting his opponents. It was bound to catch up to him eventually.
