Perhaps but heaven forbid I make something personal of a person's looks when that's one thing over which we generally have little control. I appreciate the leave to joke but when it comes to that sort of thing I never have a clue what is taking things too far and what is not.

Ah right, the LDF lost in 2007 before winning again in 2012 right? I think that was one of only a handful of times the LDF lost an election. Abe is often put in the pantheon of right wing nationalists like Trump, Bolsonaro, Modi, Erdogan and so on but is that really fair? I don't know Japanese politics nearly well enough to say either way.
