Or you guys could just not let other people's opinions bother you so much. There is also an ignore feature that some people use.

The ignore feature doesn't work if the person ignored keeps making other accounts. That's the point.

Then let's do a gentleman version. Let's up the stakes. Ill put my account on the line for a year of your av. You have a chance to get rid of me.

I realize the mods are not going to sanction this or make sure i actually do what is promised so I will give my account password to @Farmer Br0wn (somebody I find trustworthy) if you agree and he can be the arbiter.

What says you homer? Sack the fuck up and quit acting like a high school bitch

I appreciate the compliment!

Or people could quit being disingenuous shitbags with nothing worth offering the forum.
I understand you don't like our opinions, but it's a message board. And that's what people do, we offer our opinions on the matter. There should be room for everyone. Otherwise you just get a safe space with only left wing opinions.

Well you only have to read one post. If you don't like it, after that, put them on ignore.

Bullshit. Being the actual person you are isn't that hard.

Offering real opinions isn't that hard. We're not all LARPing as ho-hum 1950's Christians in here. Some of us are actually genuine.

Well homer has a chance to get rid of me if he's that confident in his bet. We all know he isn't tho and will avoid this

*shrug*
You're a "man" without honor. Why in fuck's sake would I expect you to honor that bet?

I'd have to be a moron.

Lol, I don't claim to be a Christian time traveler from the 1950's.

[SPOILERYou're making that stuff up yourself.][/SPOILER]

But I'm talking about in cases where the thread would otherwise just fizzle out. And ideally the off topic posting would be at least somewhat related to the original OP. So a thread on a crime committed by an illegal alien in the US veering off into discussions on the Mexican cartel or something like that after the initial discussion dies out.
I think what it would depend on is if it has any relation to that current thread anymore. My guess with your example is the best thing to do would be to create a new thread on that specific topic once it not longer seems appropriate to continue in the other thread but you believe it worthy of discussion.

I figure any differential in modding stems from differentials in reporting. Certain posters are going to be quicker to hit the report button than others. I don't think I've ever reported anyone for instance(@Lead, do you mods have access to that info? If so have I reported anyone) but some other posters seem proud of their readiness to do so.
I mentioned a little earlier sharing that information isn't a good idea. We shared stats on number of reports made against each user but that doesn't out anyone specifically. Doing this would open up a can of worms.

@Lead, how many times have I been reported? Can you tell me? I'm curious.

I have the exact same bet with 2 other posters here. I wanted out of the bet with you because I have less than no respect for you as a poster, and as a person. If it was up to me, you'd be IP banned from Sherdog.

This just confesses that you're incapable of winning in the arena of ideas.

Sorry Homer, you're not going to be able to ban your way to Utopia.

I finished Ozark S2 already. Gotta say I'm still happy with the series. Not easy to come up with keys thoughts on any of it yet.

Fair enough

I get that but now I just want to know if you have that info, not the info itself. Meta-info I suppose is what I'm asking about.

This is just you making assumptions about another person. You have no way of confirming the assumptions you have in your head.

You're making up things that you couldn't possibly know about people, to give yourself an excuse to not have to take ideas counter to your preconceived notions seriously.

This is more of a psychological defense mechanism for you, more than it is any kind of judgment against the character of @Ripskater
