So do you think focusing on community enrichment is a worthwhile goal? Like since you're an ex cop. Say the police get defunded 10% and they call you up and said "Hey drunk ass Grave Buster. You and only you can decide where the money is allocated to help the community"

Where would you, in your experience as a LEO, move the money to help the neighborhood?
This is a pretty much dick post man. Sounds like Graves is coming from a pretty good place to me. Just hating on people associated with law enforcement is pretty childish.

nah, I didn't take it that way tbh. if it was meant in that spirit, it didn't register with me. above that shit. but I appreciate your comments.

It's fucking crazy that it's the six year anniversary of the Sinjar genocide. . So many people fleeing up the mountains with no escape, the civilians cut off with the PKK, Peshmerga, and YPG frantically trying to get through to them. What a testament to the strength and resolve of people trying to save 50,000 lives and ultimately breaking through and holding a corridor for escape before going on the attack and taking back the towns ISIS stole from them.

Hot damn a lot has happened in six years.

I sure would like to know how it is you think it's even possible for a conservative to avoid differing opinions. As I've pointed out in previous posts, one would have to completely avoid 95+% of news media, movies, television, commercials, social media, never have any teachers or professors, and not use google or youtube.

Unfortunately, posters like @Trotsky are caricatures, and "typical liberals" are harder and harder to come by, because as I also pointed out, moderate liberals also feel censored and punished professionally by the far left. I pointed out the irony of his username because Leon Trotsky was pretty clear about his opposition to rich elites buying up media and using their money to drown out middle and working class voices, and poster Trotsky is championing a media where Jeff Bezos can buy up the washington post, Jeff Zucker can control CNN, and every major source of information is bought up and controlled by the richest people whose values and opinions don't come close to aligning with those of the majority of American people. Though it is also worth noting that actual Leon Trotsky was pretty hypocritical on that, and had massive financial backing from Jacob Schiff and the other incredibly rich bankers from NY, UK and Germany who funded the bolsheviks.

You are saying that I am supportive of the consolidation of corporate media because I recognize that censoring media outlets along partisan lines in an abridgment of the freedom of the press? And meanwhile you're excusing blatantly anti-free speech actions while your president and party are approving mega-mergers at rapid pace, abandoning antitrust enforcement, and slashing corporate taxes for those corporate cartels. And this is, of course, consistent with all of Trump and the GOP's policies, which expressly aim to impoverish and disenfranchise ordinary people for the pecuniary benefit of corporations and the ultra-wealthy.

While leftists like myself support breaking them up, encouraging a leveling of media to increase competition, and taxing the shit out of media conglomerates.

Your super-heroic immunity to irony once again reaches new heights.

In what fucking way was I hating? I didn't even use the word pig, and it's quite known I adore the term. I was literally asking his opinion because he has experience as an LEO.

Yeah I don't always read the room right, and @AgonyandIrony is a a top notch poster, just had to say my piece. Might be time to retire for the evening.

The funny part is it makes it seem like you're pushing @Grave Buster out the door lol.

Fun cop story. A buddy of mine I trained BJJ with was a sheriff who had an MMA fight to raise charity, he lost to a firefighter and we left. I proceed to smoke a blunt and my buddy (who doesn't smoke) is driving. I ask him where we're going since we passed my house and he goes "Oh ____ is having an after party with all the cops at the Bdubs" and didn't tell me that's where we were going because he thought it would be funny for me to be absolutely baked surrounded by cops all night.

It was not. It was not funny. My buddy the Sheriff could tell I was baked and I was rocking a 10th Planet hoodie and he kept making jokes about it around the other cops. I fucked with my buddy by telling him I left my weed in his car so if I go down he's going down with me. So we both had a paranoid evening.

People underestimate sports greatly. It teaches you a lot of basic emotional skills, in turbo mode.
Something I always feel is underestimated in the NHL playoffs is emotional endurance. I understand the players on each team are a few strong performances away from a lifetime goal, but I wouldn't have it in me to care about something that much to such an extreme for so long.

Also why I tend to snap right away on the ice when I do get angry, because by the second offense I'm too tired from being mad about the first one.

tbh, I do actually get the push out the door gif, but it's all good.
but parties were never a problem.
'cop' parties weren't my thing, where dudes stand around with beers reveling in the latest 'busts' they made.
lol, hell no.
I had a diverse friend base let's say.

Do you watch Brooklyn 99? Which character would you say you were like the most?

Well well well. Snap into a story Slim Jim, let's hear about some icy violence.

never watched any cop shows tbh. not even Cops or Live PD when they were on. Used to watch Hawaii Five O at 3 am after shift with some greens back in the 80s.
does that count? book em, Dano!

Nah, I'm past the point where I could do any real harm. Basically a bunch of amped up 6-year olds with Sock 'Em Boppers at this point.

LMAO.

I can't do justice to this story but an Army buddy of mine dropped acid before departing for Germany. It's not an all-military flight or anything so it should be a fun ride but he ends up being seated in the middle of a row of high ranking officers. There was a stop in between and he got off the plane and played in a McDonalds kid's playpen at the airport tripping balls, officers watching, before getting on the next plane and reporting for duty.

Dude's a musician friend of mine, we were in a band in Germany during our service. You two would definitely get along.

I got rid of a lot of shyness by doing sports. If I arrived at a new school, I was pretty quiet the first days until we had gym class, I really had to learn how to keep myself in check because I lose myself in sports completely.

You're completely detached from reality. The corporate media is indeed censored along partisan lines, and it's decidedly against Trump and the GOP at the behest of the ultra rich heads. You're simultaneously trying to argue that corporate media are being censored and aided by the president. Is this thing on?

"Taxing the shit out of them" to break them up of course would be the most aggressive form of censorship the country has had, so you are in favor of censorship in that argument, but we both know you don't believe it, because our news media would move significantly to the right if it aligned with views of average people and you'd block them.

Maybe you can at least agree with this superficially, but what I would like is not raising taxes, which would do nothing, but for the government to start their own platforms. You don't need to get rid of the existing ones, you can let the people decide which to use in what measures, and now the "private company can do whatever they want" is gone. The answer is almost never all public vs all private, it's having both so people can decide and the private companies are kept honest by competition.

Pshh.

The chemistry between the characters is some of the best on television.

No. Fight the other old people. Or fight some 6 year olds. I command it.
LMAO.

Ho-lee fuck. That sounds like a great idea. I was partying with this burlesque troupe on time and we got like.. those massive rolls of bubble wrap right? covered the entire back yard in bubble wrap and squirted lube and glitter all over the bubble wrap and go to candy flip (MDMA and LSD) So there's all these hot naked girls covered in glitter and we're partying having a good time.

Now the reason for the bubble wrap and lube? Because I'm a goddamn genius, and I thought there's nothing more satisfying than popping bubble wrap AND nothing makes a party cooler than a fucking slip and slide.

We... did not plan for how to slow down, so when I go sprinting and dive onto the bubble wrap that had way too much lube on it I was going pretty fast, like faster than you'd think (I'm very aerodynamic) and realized I couldn't stop. Clipping at the speed of light, tripping but the MDMA made it all seem so amazing, the scent of strawberry lube filling my nostrils. Straight up fucking slammed into the fence extremely hard. Was covered in massive bruises for like a week.

Good party.

Lol I was working at this charity golf tournament and I saw this attorney I know with his three other guys he’s playing with. They smelled really skunky, definitely was the good stuff. So I walk to say hi and just kind of mentioned something like, “smells like some good shit ya got there!” Just being my friendly goofy self thinking nothing of it.

Of course later the attorney says I really freaked those guys out and ruined their golf game. I’ve never arrested anyone just for weed and really never even seen it done in my whole career, but I clearly underestimated both how paranoid weed can make you and how easy it is to get thrown off your golf game.

If it was good stuff it's very possible you freaked them out, hell I've been there after some strong Kush, the slightest thing can make you question everything.
