loon whitmer with the 'racism is a public health crisis' signing today.
who cares you say?
it begins with all city and state employees having to undergo 'Implicit Bias' training/indoctrination if they want to keep their jerbs.
but if picked up by the feds, it will mean YOU have to subject yourself to similar training if you want to use the internets.
or use an ATM or go to Tim Horton's or just scratch your balls in the privacy of your home.
Seems legit.

Three sheets? You're an ex cop right? Did you guys not undertake any racial bias training or anything?
almost, four bourbons deep. oh yea, of course we did. but that was as LE officers, which doesn't seem too outrageous after all. when 80% of the crooks you arrest are of color, you can start to get biased. but I discovered, even without their simplistic 'training', I had many valuable ppl of color in my town who I worked with to enhance and improve their neighborhoods, and in so doing actually make my job easier.

its the last part of the thing I quoted in the other thread that's telling IMO.

"And unlike a national disaster, a racism crisis doesn’t trigger a flood of government funds. So until a national entity creates rules, states and cities will make them up as they go."

*waits for 'national entity' to create more rules.

So do you think focusing on community enrichment is a worthwhile goal? Like since you're an ex cop. Say the police get defunded 10% and they call you up and said "Hey drunk ass Grave Buster. You and only you can decide where the money is allocated to help the community"

Where would you, in your experience as a LEO, move the money to help the neighborhood?

I'm not ALWAYS drunk, jeez. It's dinner time, n00b. Any and all extra funds should be allocated for youth diversion programs. In my town, we had something on Friday and Sat nites called Midnight Basketball. ok, cheesy but it gave a lot of kids a well lit gym to go to with music and sports instead of roaming the streets finding trouble.
they loved it.

and yea, basketball might not be the most enlightening for kids but it's not like you're going to sit a bunch of kids down at night and have them read Chaucer or watch Citizen Kane, right?
there were no cops there, only civilian counselors from the area an PD rarely even got called.

@Kafir-kun I've been following this really closely. Rojava finally got a bone thrown her way with this deal.

No mention of Turkey in the entire fucking article of course.

Here it's after school music programs, but a lot of people bring up (and I wholly support this) also funding mental healthcare for kids growing up in neighborhoods plagued with violence. Children growing up with very hardcore PTSD is something I rarely see brought up (outside of local groups in the neighborhood of course) when people talk about stopping the cycle of violence.

People underestimate sports greatly. It teaches you a lot of basic emotional skills, in turbo mode.

Sorry it just sound so weird never heard it until I moved down here

Also put it to peer review placebo controlled randomized studies, because so far we have junk science from France vs some fairly extensive data going the other way from the US and the UK, now this which already has read flags as far as methodology goes.
