The etiquette around tagging seems pretty ambiguous if you ask me. Some people like it, others don't. Me personally as someone who got tagged plenty by right wing shitposters I will say I'm not a fan. Heck some left winger tried to drag me into some right wing circlejerk thread and I was like "nah fam, I avoided this thread for a reason"

Then there are guys like SDW who in one post will call you a coward for not tagging him but then later tell you to stop tagging him.

To be fair I suspect context matters. If JVS is always tagging her, that could be annoying. Like when sweede kept tagging me in his threads for a few weeks, that was annoying. But that doesn't mean I would mind being tagged by someone else.

Personally I'd rather not be tagged if you just want to talk shit. If you want my take on something feel free to tag me, otherwise leave me alone.

Do you want to be tagged, or not? People gripe about being tagged when they're tagged, and gripe about not being tagged when they're not tagged. It all seems very fake.

Demanding anything of people online is a silly exercise in futility. People just need to learn how to not care. Telling people "don't tag me!" is almost certainly the first step in getting tagged a lot.

Surprisingly, it worked for me. I rarely get rage-tagged by the derp squad nowadays.

It seems straightforward to me that if you are criticizing someone it is good to tag them so they can defend. However, I may have misunderstood here and thus wrongly accused him of classlessness/cowardice. To me it seemed more egregious of an omission when he tagged everyone but me. But it is true that in a different context a few years back I asked not to be tagged. So it makes sense that he may have singled me out as someone not to tag based on respectful motives.

@Trotsky, if you omitted tagging me because you thought I did not want to be tagged, then I apologize.
