This is kind of like how Tom Cruise seems like a pretty cool guy until you mention Scientology, but with drugs instead of cults.
I think there's some truth to the idea that drugs make you more creative but its way overplayed and is mostly used as an excuse by people who just want to get high or trip. And even when its true its more of a double edged sword than users want to admit; might be a creative boon initially but could eventually drag you into a rut.

I do from time to time but I am not super engaged with the sport so I don't follow everything.

I mostly follow the top of the HW division so Fury, Joshua, and Wilder. Then Usyk and Loma. And last this guy:

I hope Inoue can get some notoriety here in the west. Even though he was older, you'd think stopping Donaire would have gotten his name coming out of everyone's mouth but alas no.

Inoue is a beast. Smaller fighters seem to have a really hard time catching on in the States. Historically it was middleweight and heavyweight that people cared about the most. Even to this day I think the middleweight and heavyweight lineal championships are the most revered.

He straight up punched through that one guy's guard. That's good power...for a small dude.
That's the thing.

Inoue is in a weight class where guy's aren't supposed to do that. A HW doing that? Everyone kind of expects it but down near like Featherweight and shit?

They're the ones I was first introduced to.

Inoue has scary power for a guy in his weight class.

It can inspire, sure. I was really only talking about people that use it as a crutch and there's plenty, but I don't think I've ever met more delicate people on here than when I mention drugs in any sort of negative way. It's almost stereotypical.

The roommates I had at my last house fall into the "crutch" category 100%

I personally only know one person who voted for Biden in the primary - and he worked for his campaign - so I can't play this out, but I would really, really like to thank all the reactionary liberals in this country for forcing all of us to endure an entire campaign season around whether Trump or Biden is more senile, comparing their brain farts, and cutting in videos with accusations of :eek::eek::eek:philia.

And it's not like it was only Bernie supporters pointing this out. Liberal posters here in the Warren and Buttigieg camps also pointed out that Biden appeared to have brain damage. Even if it doesn't remotely put him in the same conversation as Trump in terms of intelligence, it puts them close enough to each other in broad cognitive appearances that right wingers will shoehorn all the claims that Biden is senile and Trump is bigly brilliant.
Yeah I'm still super salty about it. I remember cringing hard inside when I was hanging out with some Muslims and one girl said that she was unsure about Bernie because he had apparently said some problematic things regarding Israel. Like come on man, does anyone think Bernie would be a hardcore Zionist? Dude would've probably been the most sympathetic POTUS to the Palestinians in decades, easily the most anti-imperialist since WWII overall. There would've been red panty nights all over Latin America if he got elected.

Do they clean up after themselves? Do the dishes? Or are they busy, uh, "philosophizing"? Nobody's got time for responsibilities when you're this close to the meaning of existence, maaaan

When I lived there they didn't. Kitchen sink always routinely had dirty dishes in it.

Yeah, early in his 2016 candidacy, I think a lot of Muslim leftists had understandable and valid concerns about that, but he very clearly integrated Palestinian welfare and criticism of Israel into his platform and all of those persons (that I came across) jumped on board. In terms of being responsive to doing what's right if not necessarily popular, he's been stellar. And, of course, he'd have by far the most left-wing foreign policy of any president in modern history.

Whoever the primary winner was was going to get a ton of bullshit attacks. At least Biden's way up in the polls.

I went to Santa Cruz with my family when I was kid, and I wasn't particularly hyped - mostly because it involved a lot of family that I don't like. But man, when my mom told me we were going to the Boardwalk where Lost Boys was filmed, that turned me around. I loved that movie as a kid.

Of course, but those bullshit attacks wouldn't go to the very core to perceived competency. Calling Bernie a communist or Elizabeth Warren a race appropriator wouldn't find the same sort of instant validation as the senility attacks on Biden.

Also, in a related matter, with any other candidate, we wouldn't be dealing with posts like these:

Joe Biden is a :eek::eek::eek:phile. This has been known for years.
The left likes :eek::eek::eek::eek:s though.
You guys know Biden is a :eek::eek::eek:. but that since you believe Trump is also one, that make them equal in that regard. You will knowingly vote for the lesser of two :eek::eek::eek:s lmao.

I don't buy this at all, at least the commie scare stuff.

Cliffs:

As psychologists around Steve Stewart-Williams report in the British Journal of Psychology, positive study results for men are reflexively doubted - by men and women alike. If, on the other hand, comparable research reveals a female superiority, a different picture emerges. Such results are met with greater confidence, the methodology is praised and the statements are described as relevant. Here too, men and women react in the same way to statements that make women feel superior.

What I mean is that, if Trump calls Sanders a communist, Sanders can say "no, I'm not" and the follow-up would require a bunch of peripheral and unconvincing arguments about how he vacationed in Russia in the 1970s, talks bad about capitalism, etc. And that's beside the fact that those allegations really only matter to groups that are already very tilted in Trump's favor. Similarly, if Trump calls Warren a liar/race traitor, she can own up to her mistake and there's really not much more he can do but go for the diminishing returns on the Pocahontas line.

Meanwhile, if Trump calls Biden senile and experiencing cognitive decline, all that is required is one slip of the tongue or gaffe and there's the validation; the follow-up arguments can be a see of Twitter videos of Biden going cloudy on stage. And cognitive ability is a central consideration for, more or less, all voters. Not just children of the Cold War.
