Pretty random but the almond/irrigation talk reminded me of this very recent threat on irrigation/government in ancient Mesopotamia

"Lilly" is preparing my delivery order. In my experience, she has been inconsistent with the done-ness of cheesy bread, and distribution of cheese and jalapenos on cheesy bread. This does not inspire confidence. This "Lilly" is, for all pizza-related purposes, recalcitrant.

I mean, obviously there is room for criticism of the Democratic Party, as @xcvbn said. Frankly, I think the Democratic Party as a whole is about as good as one can expect it to be given what it fundamentally is: an entrenched party in a two-party system the counterpart of which is a completely unprincipled, corrupt, and shameless swindler party that exists only to trick its citizens out of their savings and murder people for profit. There are obviously areas that still need improvement, mostly in the realm of foreign policy, but overall the party is as morally and ideologically defensible as its ever been.

Also, I think we should all realize that bothsidesism in the United States, whether it comes from the left, right, or disaffected center, exclusively benefits the Republican Party. Republican voters who can't defend Republican policy use the "both parties are the same, so who cares" throw away justification, just as some on the left do to excuse voting third party or not voting at all.

In reality, at least for the time being, the American left coalition needs to act like right wingers in terms of electoral strategy. Right wingers never use bothsidesist arguments to impugn the Republican Party or to excuse not voting. Even when they are critical of Republicans being sell outs, globalists, n*****-lovers, etc., they maintain perspective on the party being definitively preferable to the Democrats. And that's why the far-right is winning: Republican figures are more afraid of their primary threats than of Democratic challengers, yet no matter what the whole right turns out to vote in the general. That's what the left needs to do: put Democrats into power and, if they cross us, pour money and attention into primarying them.

It's a shtick. He does this for a little while, then he repents and claims he's turning over a new leaf, then he acts like a lunatic again, and rinse and repeat. The first couple times I thought it might be a real moral crisis. Now, it's pretty obvious that it's just attention seeking, and it's very unlikely (imo) that he's actually as unhinged as he's behaving or that he thinks the things that he posts (that "the left" is ruining the world, etc.).
The big reveal to me was when he offered to "be good" under certain circumstances like it's something he can turn off and on. That obviously means when he's acting crazy it's something he can turn off and on too. If either statement is true, they both are.

Pro tip: She is fucking up the order on purpose so you stop ordering because you likely creep her out.

He's both, a mass shooter wimp style psycho, and it's a conscious shtick.

@PolishHeadlock2 @Fawlty Elizabeth You know how everyone was making the "it's always the people you most suspect" jokes about that De'Elia guy?

Jeff Ross. Maybe he doesn't have the distinct :eek::eek::eek: vibe, but he definitely radiates sleaze.
He strikes me as somebody who gives prostitutes extremely specific instructions about his testicles.

I'm in no way excited about a Biden presidency, but the right wing fearmongering about how Biden will be influenced by the Left is a valid concern for them, because it's a valid truth for us.
That is an incredibly important distinction to make, and the sense that I get as well. Clinton abandoned his progressive policies, Obama as well and I got the strong impression that Hillary would have.

But progressive gains, from threatening a presidential primary win to winning house seats to moving real polls on climate/health issues leads me to believe this is a different moment in time. There is real muscle, grit to this that can't be ignored. Not now. Not after everything we've been saying(climate, economy, health, etc) is all in this moment now.

Nah, I think he's just a troll. I've never seen a left wing person, online or elsewhere, that is as categorically opposed to left wing figures and left wing accomplishments as him.

FFS, he's simultaneously bitching about Democrats compromising (saying Dems don't care about issues if they seek compromised resolution and that AOC/Omar are sellouts) and also bitching about them not reaching compromise with Republicans.

He's Tim Pool imo.
It's Jimmy Dore

The guy is an excellent battering rod against corrupt corporatists, but once it comes time to step back and be smart(he's an idiot) he just can't help but continue to batter presumable allies. Like, believing that AOC was somehow in 2 years supposed to give everyone healthcare and dismantle citizens united. It's magical thinking

Tim Pool is a paid operative. He's pretty effective and totally amoral.

No they're not and they are very good for you.

I admittedly prefer the Blue Diamond smokehouse, wasabi, or BBQ ones more than the plain salted ones. Recently I've been eating more walnuts and pecans for nuts.

I'm lactose intolerant so barring using like mozzarella cheese and other types of cheese I don't use much dairy anymore. Unless eggs fall into that realm now or some shit.

And I usually use a mix of oat or cashew milk for any sort of milk replacement. And while I am sure the numbers are correct... this feels like a way to try and bury the cattle industry because it's like "look at all the water dairy needs!"... yeah well, you need water to keep the animals hydrated and water for them to have land to graze so... um... duh?

And the only reason I brought up almonds is the article I read specifically highlighted the water usage for the almonds that California produces.

Lol @ almonds.

Cashews are so superior that they're the best nut without even being a nut.

I'll have to catch-up but Ross seemed to be coming out guns blazing against the allegations.

He's also really close to Dave Attell who seems to be a good dude and one of the sober guys in the industry.

Isn’t there a health concern related to cashews? Their fat content is bonkers high and can fuck with your LDL numbers.
