Also, they are never ever going to tell you that they live and work like slaves. For some, the extreme pittance they earn is the only money they can get back to their homes. But working 16 hour days for next to no money for months on end with no days off is basically slavery

Yep reading too fast having multiple conversations, it is what it is. Anyways I love cruising and I know the people work hard so I always over tip and let them know I appreciate their work. Yet I still enjoy my vacation

Yep looks that way. I would recommend you go on a cruise at least once and try it out, it could change your whole outlook

I do not need to go on a cruise to know i do not want to support their business model.

Same reason I would never go to a place like the UAE.

The guys excuse was that the child liked putting her hands up against hockey rink glass or some insane excuse like that. No body even said anything to him on the camera footage. One of the saddest things I’ve ever seen

...haha funny enough my parents traveled to Dubai right before the rona and loved it. Said I had to go but well the rona happened. You gotta live and enjoy life man, if you let this attitude you have rule you then you won’t do much of anything

Well then its a good thing there are more countries in the world.
I also believe you can enjoy life with out visiting UAE.

Part of me enjoying life is not supporting things I find distasteful.

I’d like to get my parents one of those Viking River Cruises but I have not interest in going to like Dubai or Abu Dhabi no matter how cool it’d be to see Lambo cop cars.

I’ve never been on a cruise but I went on an all inclusive trip and really liked that I could pay someone else for excursions I wanted to do.

My parents did one on the Danube and fell in love with Budapest and Vienna. Highly recommended as it’s for a more mature crowd

Me personally I love ME architecture and food oljs I’m always mistaken for a Palestinian so I’m wouldn’t rule out going for x. You have to live live and enjoy every second you can...that’s all I’ve learned from the rona and currently having it (thank God I don’t feel anything)

Haha don’t buy excursions with the ship! You can do the same things at half the price with the locals and put some green directly in their pockets as well. If you have kids Disney cruise is up there with anything I could compare to. They have a French restaurant that’s exactly like eating at a restaurant in París

The activity director specifically told us that locals could kidnap us if we went to them for excursions.
