War Room Lounge v146: Federal Goon used "Bludgeon"! But it's not that effective...

I’ve had SnapChat for almost 4-5 years and I’ve checked it I think a grand total of..... 20-30 times at most? I’m on IG more

Thanks. It's still looking pretty bad. I only stated up last year. Borrowing more money on top of what I borrowed to open won't help me at all. So, it's like I have said before. I don't expect the government to bail me out, but if they want my business to survive like they say they do, I have to hope they will come up with a grant or something. I've written to my MP and others. Since April I have been hearing the same thing, thanks for the input--we'll pass it on. I could be looking at a year of almost no business income so without help I'm prolly phucked.

I hope things work out. Imagine politicians are so inundated with challenges they feel it's beyond their capacity to deal with. Really sucks.

Watching an old Chomsky documentary from around 1988 and there is this part where a young David Frum shows up to a lecture back when he was doing journalism. He mischaracterises Chomsky's positions as a means of strawmaning him during a discussion of the media's role in ignoring atrocities of gov and friends while playing up the atrocities of our enemies as a means of manufacturing a consent from the public. Chomsky's position was in essence we as a society should take responsibility for our gov's actions in relation to the decisions and consequences in the international realm. He mischaracterises Chomsky's equality of principles as an "equality of corpses" and states we should equally care about all lives accuses him of hypocritically not caring about the lives of kurds while promoting caring about Palestinian lives, which Chomsky disputes. Chomsky emphasises to Frum: "... you need to focus on the consequences of your actions, what can YOU affect" rather than the actions of other govs.

I had to stop and pause because the whole thing creeped me out knowing Frum's eventual role in speechwriting for Bush during the Iraq War and his propaganda for interventionism that we would later employ.

So I just stumbled onto the adrenochrome thread a little bit ago. How the hell is it still up? And why are people taking it seriously?

Frum has shown at least some signs of being a human being lately, but that's really rough.

I was watching an interview of Chomsky from less than a year ago (he's as sharp as ever for short periods of time despite looking like a corpse), and he talks about Holocaust denial being the norm in America (in response to a question about his strong defense of the free speech rights of a denier). My own wires are connected wrong and so I took him literally, that denial of the Shoah was the norm, and I was trying to figure out how he was reasoning to that. But it's every other Holocaust - almost without exception - that we're happy to deny. And it's a long list. Some of them, we perpetrated or supported. Frum strikes me as that sort of Holocaust denier.

As far as pundits go, historically has there been a more smug motherfucker deserving of a backhanded slap than William F Buckley? Every clip he shows up in I just get the urge to strangle

Donut on a string kid deserved to get roughed up by cops apparently, not merely arrested (for asking a cop if he wanted a doughnut, to which one of the other cops laughed)
This violence against donuts has to stop.

There's actually a wrinkle which makes the whole thing worse that people in the thread didnt pick up on as its at the tail end of the article and requires the reader to make a connection to the video.

The arresting officers claimed he assaulted a plain clothed officer with a stick - that would be the man that threatened to 'beat the ass' of the kid
