The entire "Proletariat Poetry" movement and the literature of that time is really something I feel like modern folk in America is missing out. (that essentially was adopted by punk rock more than any other style considering the bastardization of Guthrie and the censoring of This Land Is Your Land )
You're definitely more well-read than I am, and I'm aware there is a lot of great literature out there.
I need to be better about reading at some point.
