I didn't stick around in that thread much as not a lot of quality conversation to be had there

But wow. Nice pickup. Yeah that's messed up. My attention was again draw to how 1 cop is shitty, and the "good" cop (heck, the guy laughed at a little joke that didn't hurt anyone) didn't do a single thing to stop the shitty cop and just went along with it. When in doubt, cops will almost always side with whatever cop is being the most violent at the time and follow that lead.
