I tend to assume that campaign people know what they're doing better than I can, but the Trump strategy of exaggerating Biden's senescence seems to be the dumbest I've seen. First, he's set it up so every time Biden makes an appearance, everyone who buys it thinks, "damn, he looked really good" just because he's speaking normally. Second, it invites a really uncomfortable comparison and look at Trump's own caducity. Third, it likely alienates a key demographic that Trump is losing.

Agree with all three points. In theory it would be an effective strategy, if it could work. But I think Trump himself probably saw the gaffes and was like "yea we're gonna get him with this", and now it's making Biden look even stronger than if the expectation was that he'd look solid anyway. Why would you run with your opponent being super weak, just for them to merely look normal turn into them looking amazing? It defies all logic. If anything, make him look like he's super strong due to his experience and ties with Obama, and then if he messes up try to blow it up. A definitively self-defeating move running with the braindead narrative from someone trying to run the larger than life gimmick. It's probably the worst route of attack he could have gone with coming from him, which possibly explains why it was used by him lol.

This one is shot-for-shot with the cartoon in some places. Went in with low expectations (was taking somebody to see it), but really enjoyed it. Not sure if the big screen experience is lost a bit like with Avatar though.

Fogie stepped down and had been thinking of it for awhile. The guy modded for over a decade and decided he’d be happier just posting going forward.

I think it was a good call to step down. There were a few times in the end he actually cracked and got on me for 'trolling', no warnings or anything, just that he would quote me in a thread and sort of warn me. Guy must have missed the memo completely and I was quite frankly shocked he would not stick to the script like he was supposed to with me. I was nice, played well with him but it's those little mistakes that don't go unnoticed.

i explained to my ma that she was at a higher risk because of her age, and that the tories neglect, mismanagement, and general disdain for ordinary people made them dangerous, especially during this pandemic, she replied " well at least he's better than corbyn" the guy who doesnt want old folks to die ....you just cant reason with someone who has already made up their mind on a subject...
