For the record, I hit the skirt steak hard with the pinot and butter, and a little bit of steak sauce in the pan. Very good. Lucky it was a very tender cut, too. It was a damned shame, but SOME of the syrup from the waffles kind of meandered over to the steak and mixed with its juices. A damned shame.
