So, after hours of research, using my 2 year old daughter as a guinea pig, and dozens of 80's and 90's music youtube videos, I have determined who is the greatest musician /slash/ dance entertainer of all time. The one who can make even a 2 year old shake and shimmy like she's born to dance. Not really a surprise, it is Micheal friggin Jackson. Dude was a genius.

Full disclosure, the closest second was Britney Spears, so take that for what it is worth.

And I will say it warms my heart at least that she was also enjoying Guns N Roses.

I'ma be up in my feelings for a bit. It's pretty fucking bullshit my city had a mass shooting and my thread went three pages and the Canadian one is fizzling out now that both sides know a Muslim didn't do it.

I said it once in that thread, America doesn't give a fuck about New Orleans. Over a thousand people died over federal failure, something I think conservatives would latch on to, but no. They don't They talk about how blacks looted Canal St. Hell, racists used NOLA to try to talk about how much better NYC was during their hurricane despite it was an entirely different scenario.

Charity hospital is STILL abandoned. Hell the amount of Irish immigrants who died in this city is staggering. I walk on a mass grave every single day. (Still love that conservatives have the fucking balls to include the Irish in their white nationalism. Every Irishman that killed an American soldier during the Mexican-American War was in the right and the San Patricos died heros)

I'm just blown away honestly. Why is it that NOLA is tossed to the side, despite being one of the greatest cities in the world. Why is it that we lose more civilians in a week than some people in Canada and we're ignored.

Even the cunts in the suburbs all raw raw NRA ignore us, despite the fact our daily life is their fetish. Why is it, that this city is ignored by so many unless you're vomiting in our streets or to use our crime to justify their racist ideology, and for the record. I've heard hick tourists, I've heard them imply that blacks ruined this city. They can fuck right off, African Americans made this city one of the greatest in the world.

Sorry.. just had to rant. Spent the night talking to Katrina survivors and I'm so fucking rustled about conservatives and liberals using this city to justify their bullshit as my city literally lives to please everyone.

Our deaths mean just as much as the Canadians and fuck you if you try to argue otherwise.

Some great thoughts in there.

I'd wager that under Clinton or Obama, rather than Bush, the city would have gotten far more of the help it needed after Katrina.

Who says that NOLA citizen deaths don't mean much compared to other places? I never heard this before and I've definitely never heard anyone argue this way online. But I assume you see it?

It's hard to say but I imagine show. Bush had many blunders throughout his presidency but Katrina was a massive fuck up. Visiting the tombs of the unidentified is a sombering experience.

We literally had a mass shooting a few weeks back and it barely made news.

As to people from suburbs visiting of course they visit. Who do you think is throwing up on Bourbon st? I work as a booking agent for all the tours in the city, people fly from around the world to visit this city. I guess a pet peeve is people only seeing Bourbon and assuming the entire city is like that.

And concerning people not caring about deaths here Katrina comes to mind, but we're the murder capital of the US.

Basically a week a month for a year until the last two months. I'm taking a break from touring currently. I plan on being buried here, saving money for a family tomb.

They just shot and torched two people that were going to testify against a gang.

The two dudes who did the mass shooting are likely never going to be caught, and down here justice will be one of the family members clapping them.
