People are turds. To be sure, day 1 erasure of student loan debt ala Bernie Sanders was always dumb. But something needs to be done to address the issue while still having borrowers internalize their debt.

Personally, I've paid $10,000 in student loans just in the past two months. Gotta take advantage of that interest freeze and pay back some principal, boss.

But student loan interest, particularly at 6+%, is super fucking odious. It should be lower and it shouldn't kick in until at least a couple years after entering the workforce.

Typically student loan interest is reasonable so you might be better off paying the minimum and putting extra cash towards your 401k.

Credit card interest is the worst so you normally want to take care of that first.

My student loan debt is from being a fucking idiot and doing an online post graduate school.

I don't like having debt. I know people personally that have far FAR more debt than I do and I make decent money (1700 before taxes per check and about 1200 after deductions) but I hate having monthly payments sitting there cause it makes me feel like I'm living paycheck to paycheck and I hate that uncertain feeling.
