Haven't looked into the details but it was part of the original new $3T spending bill to combat COVID-19.

I don't know I'd it made it into the final bill though.

It was 7500 in 2008 and 8k in 2009

Some people hate it.

The highlights I saw were student loan forgiveness (I didn't see any specifics), up to $6000 in payments to families, all voting to be done by mail in November and some other things. There's some money for USPS and tax changes for the top tier people too

I guess the difference is credit card debt can be discharged through bankruptcy relief while student loan debt can't.

But again if you want to broaden the relief call your representative. The Dems aren't scared of spending money.

I'm sure they would tack on other relief if it meant bipartisan support

I missed the boat on Mosins and AKs.

When I first turned 18 you could get a case of like 5 to a case of them in plastic wrap and the cosmoline still for like.. $300.

NOW, Century Arms garbage is the only shit you can get for that nice price.

I remember getting SKS from a barrel at a gun show for like $100.

I paid $550 for my last AK at a pawn shop, probably the best place to get a decently priced Mosin or SKS that hasn't been bubba'd these days.

I've actually been considering getting my first AR but I just find the aesthetic so bleh compared to the AK platform.

AR pistol in 7.62 with wood furnishings with a brace does seem appealing. Especially since the draco has gotten so damn expensive lately.

I think the "leftists are scared of guns" is dependent on part of country you are from. If you're in the South or like Utah/Wyoming and stuff like that you'll find a lot of left leaning people that go shooting and shit and own just as big of an arsenal as like, The Man Spot:
