I don't mind the Nolan-verse Batman flicks up until the last like 45 minutes or so of TDKR and it just basically took the shotgun and shot itself in the face standing on the edge of a 2000 foot Scandinavian fjord and fell off the side.

On it's face it's alright. It's watchable. However, TDKR is such a bad movie, when you take into consideration that it came from the same people who made BB and TDK. It's like, what the fuck happened? If I didn't know any better, I'd think that Nolan abandoned the franchise and they got some rent-a-hack like Brett Ratner to take over and reproduce the Nolan vibe as best he could. It's so inconceivably bad for a Nolan flick.

Dark Knight was ok. Never did get why people fellate it so vigorously, though.

Yup, but TDK was grittier, more contemplative, and, most of all, contained more elements of tragedy than can usually be found in the action-adventure genre. Which is why it's probably the only action movie I would put in my top 50.

Is Big Trouble in Little China considered "action"? I'd have that as maybe the best movie of the '80s. The original Terminator was also great.

Not sure about the best, but it's certainly underrated as all hell. It's kind of shameful that movies like "Commando" and "Road House" get more love than BTILC.

Like, Bane was great RIGHT up until they turned him into a lackey for Talia.

I have never seen BTLC. I also really liked the original Terminator, but not enough to list it among my very favorite films.

Never really got why so many people preferred T2.

The re-dubbed accent was also absolutely terrible. Loved the original one. Overall I liked what they did with the character and still consider the film to be easily one of the top of its genre and on equal standing or just a shave below Batman Begins.

Hated the casting of JGL, though. That kid cannot act for shit in anything he's in.

Like, I hope the studio doesn't fuck with Venom's voice too much given everyone seems to say that digital voice is hard to understand in the trailers too. Gotta imagine it'll sound great on a good sound system.

JGL sucks, I for the life of me can't understand why everyone seems to think he's amazing.

Everybody under 40 thinks they're the Joker. I like the movie but it has done a lot of psychological damage.

Shows have not gotten better than The Sopranos. It was top tier then, and it's top tier now. Other than a personal problem with the style, or subject matter, it would tough to criticize in any objective way. It's about as flawless as it gets.

Sopronos just kinda meandered over the last couple seasons or so. Somewhere between uneventful and boring. Final episode was on par with Seinfeld's, but nowhere near as bad as Dexter's.

Now, for other dryer or slower-paced movies I like such as Barton Fink,

Love that film more than anyone I've met.

Dexter is P4P the worst ending in TV history.

It's almost as if the writers just gave up....and said "fuck it."

the only worse ending I can think of , is if Dexter woke up, and it was "all a dream."
