Well at that time I was training Judo and nogi pretty hard and always posted in the grappling forum and he was talking about training at a Gracie academy but BJJ sucks. So I looked up every Gracie academy in the area he said he was in, found his posts on Stormfront, searched the police database in his city and found his mugshot and posted all of it and he cried and never came back.


God that thread was amazing.

It sounds to me like you live life searching for thrills. Going from one high to another. Nothing about that sounds appealing to me. But I don't want to judge you for the life you enjoy. But for me I like building things like businesses and families. I like the constant contentment I have gained from a strengthened spirit and peace of mind. I never find myself sitting around bored or needing some kind of rush like back in my 20s.

I mean, especially compared to Diaz, ultimately Lauzon was kind of a disappointment imo, based on how much potential he seemed to have through that season. But I think of Lauzon/Diaz as kind of like the Hamill/Bisping of that season: clearly the two guys with the highest potential that everyone wanted to see meet on the show but that never did.

With Lauzon's cardio, strength, and takedowns vs. Diaz's cardio, boxing, and BJJ - and not to mention their diametrical personalities with Lauzon being quiet and reserved and Diaz being a street punk - man...idk how that fight never happened.
