War Room Lounge v116: Where does the "incestuous" part come in though? That's the juicy part.

He was perfect in "The Office". I don't want to blame him too much, but it seems like studios were looking at him and thinking "He could be the awkward dork, like the guy in 'The 40 Year Old Virgin', and for half the price."

What else has he been in? Only thing I can think of is his role as a drug kingpin in We're the Millers.

Ah really? I always wanted to see that movie because of Carrel, Stone, and Gosling.

Took a while to get into Gosling, I've got to admit. He came across as one of this actors who took themselves too seriously in Remember the Titans and Notebook. But he's since found his acting "voice" if you will. I can't say anything he has done has truly blown me away as far as his individual performance.

lol why is he saying liberate these States when according to him, he and only he has the power to reopen the economy and NOT the governors of those states?

I actually think he displayed a lot of talent in The Office. But I can't think of anything else I've seen him in. I know he was in the Vacation remake but I heard that was terrible.

It's probably the most sexist "good" movie, i.e. movie that represents itself as serious and sentimental, I've ever seen. Julianne Moore plays Carrel's awful wife who cheats on him, divorces him, makes him move out of the family home, and then gets mad at him for sleeping with copious amounts of beautiful younger women, who themselves fall in love with him, after the divorce so he has to make grandiose displays of love to win her back and show that becoming a sex god hasn't changed him. Meanwhile, Gosling spends the whole film showing you can sleep with any girl you want by wearing expensive clothes and condescending to them about how they want to sleep with you.

It's the kind of movie that will rile up MRW types about how pussified Carell is and how shitty women are.
I know a guy who had to go through, let me tell you he has no intention of reconciling with the ex-wife. Honestly sounds a bit hard to believe based on what I know of that ugly divorce.

Now I kinda want to watch it to judge it for myself.

The International Solidarity Campaign „One World. One Heart”

#staybrave #strongertogether #lovecandoanything

Under the motto ”One World. One Heart”, iMapp Bucharest – one of the most important video mapping events worldwide, organized by Creart – Bucharest Municipality Center for Creation, Art and Tradition – has launched an artistic initiative that brings a message of solidarity and hope all around the world, in the international context of the coronavirus pandemic, that has generated the current measures of social distancing as a necessary preventive measure.

The public awareness project of the mutual support – „One World. One Heart”, implemented internationally through visual arts, was made pro bono by the artists involved and it was technically and logistically supported by private partners.

46 international visual artists were invited to create 3D animations with a duration of 10 seconds, starting from the same visual template – a heart, that strengthened worldwide, through the creative force, the message of the solidarity campaign. The artworks were reunited into a single video that will be simultaneously projected on the façades of buildings from all over the world: Bucharest (Romania), Budapest (Hungary), Monterrey (Mexico), Seattle (USA).

In Bucharest, these artworks were projected on the façade of the 2nd largest building in the world Palace of Parliament on April 17th 2020.

As a kid I did not like pretty boy actors like him but Gosling grew on me with performances in movies like Drive, Place Beyond the Pines, and Song to Song. Definitely recommend Drive if you have not seen it.
Oh, she's terrible, but that has nothing to do with her race. Glad you're concentrated on searching my post history instead of calling out people who promote violently removing a sitting president.
I think he was implying you hate her for political differences which, in your own words,...
Well, the threshold needs to be a little bit higher than just hurt feelings. Plus, most grown adults do not automatically believe someone is a "terrible human being" just because of political differences or because of their race. Sounds like you need to grow up.

A better question is when does it become a moral obligation to report somebody who not so subtly advocates for the violent removal of a sitting President?

Put up or shut up, ya bitch turd

"The Hangover" movies obviously, which kind of cemented his persona. Outside of what's already been mentioned, not much other than "Tag" I guess. A movie that boggles my mind to this day, at how it was ever a wide release. At least in terms of big roles, because he kind of fizzled out after his big push as that guy. Outside of those marquee movies, he's done a ton of cameo/small roles though. He was actually pretty good in "Jeff Who Lives At Home", but the movie itself was a turd.

Yeah, and that's a more subtle form of sexism in male-oriented media: contrasting relatable and morally perfect men with unrelatable women who mistreat them.

I love Carrel and like Gosling. But I hate the movie.

Oh, I actually liked Tag. Not good, but it had some really funny moments.

Yeah, he's not someone who will blow you away with any given performance. He's no DDL, but he's solid and dependable, which is almost just as rare. You'll never see a bad performance from him, but you'll likely never see a truly great one either.

I always hated that, that the good guy has to just take shit from his women because he's the good guy. I mean of course in a relationship you should tolerate the shortcomings of your SO but in the case of that example that's pretty egregious, I'd find it hard to forgive an ex-wife if she did that to me.

I am only half joking when I say that when it comes to family law Sharia law might actually be better than US law.

Did anyone else just see bill maher climbing up a tree ?

I have not seen Drive actually. But I heard that was a gem of a movie. I'm a big film buff but kinda fell off the past three years due to my job. Tough to find time to watch movies but I've been catching up recently. Like, a few months ago I finally got around to seeing Logan. That might be in my top 10 all time favorites, possibly top 5. Amazing movie.

I understand.

Deal. You take a break from shaving your landing strip so you can go violently remove the president, I'll give secret service a heads up.

Something like Blade Runner 2049, he's perfect as a replicant. But I just don't see Gosling as the type of actor who could seamlessly fit into any role. One dimensional, but still pretty solid in that one dimension.

Islam was right about women (sometimes)

I must be tired because this is funny as fuckles

Graves' post cracked me up. Just the idea that anyone would have an expectation about that number that was firm enough to be upset.
