It's a case study for the moving the goalposts fallacy. One of the best I've ever seen. I wonder if he thinks the same about abortion, by the way, if it's not that bad it's like really good to be dead actually. The best was Ted Nguyen's (sp) reply to the effect of "wow it went from coronavirus is a hoax to death is a hoax real quick."
I watched thev1st season, so I got the conglomerate hack takedown part, I didn’t get the time hack thing, was that the Asian dude?
Does it actually redeem itself in season 3? 2 was atrocious.yup - he/she says it in season 1, so I didn't ruin that (not completely at least) for you.
It's so fecking transparentYou guys do know the maga people are going to call for a ticker tape parade if the deaths are below 200k (give or take 50k), right?

I've been following along with Devs on FX after Succession completely let me down. Alex Garland of Ex Machina fame returns to the AI theme. Pretty nifty so far.

I work in healthcare and a patient came up to me today and told me his urgent care provider told his wife it was only people who don’t take care of themselves who are dying. I was livid. I might have swore. I told the guy the guy should be ashamed of himself and to make sure his wife knows I said that. Not only that but they'll try and exclude anyone that had other health problems and blame those preexisting conditions for those deaths.
Stat juking will be in iverload
Hey!
How's it going?

Exactly. Not only is it a form of victim blaming, and ignoring the fact that otherwise healthy doctors and nurses have died from this while trying to help their patients, the more immediate concern is the false sense of security people get from hearing this from a white coat, and then spreading that bullshit to everybody they know. This is where messaging comes into play big time.
Letting people know that taking care of their general health (don't smoke and try and be generally healthy) is beneficial in case you get it. Vs telling people they have nothing to worry about if they do this.
And it's also ignoring people that innate health problems and treating them as if they had a choose in their underlying conditions.
