Guilt tripping other people into going along with your poor choices even before your poor choice has been nominated is very slimy. Anyway, yes, you should vote for the senile old pervert in favor of Trump when push comes to shove, but maybe try and not make people feel like shitty people for following their principles.

yes

I completely agree with the take but maybe we should let the wounds heal before getting so crass. And maybe start out by pointing out how progressive Joe's platform actually is

I agree with this - its really the twitter counter to all the "the boomers, the media, and establishment on my" silliness we are seeing.

But I do agree with you and @tonni for that matter, that guilt is not the way to get there.

But I rarely do anything to cause a ruck around here so I thought it was overdue

I thought Seattle schools were closed for at least 2 weeks?
Seattle schools were done on a district level.

Inslee has banned ALL gatherings of more than 250 people in the entire state.

But hasn't done shit at the state level about schools. UW classes have all been pushed to online but WSU, EWU, Gonzaga, and CWU haven't done anything last I heard.

IMO seems pretty manipulative to guilt shame Bernie supporters into voting for someone they don't like because Biden's not good enough to win without literally coercing people into voting for him. Pick a better candidate maybe?
Imo it seems pretty manipulative to argue that non-Bernie supporters should have nominatef someone they don't like just because (less than) a quarter of Bernie supporters are unwilling to support literally any other candidate.

Any liberal who wouldn’t vote for Biden over Trump is either extremely shortsighted or just doesn’t understand US politics.

How many more court appointments can Trump make? As much as you didn’t like Hillary you don’t think at least the courts wouldn’t be better off?

Get real guys.

''Vote for [Democratic candidate], they're better than Trump'' has a spotty track record.

I disagree strongly. This strategy is what brought us to Trump.

"Vote for [candidate], they're better than [other candidate]," is the case that both sides try to make in every single election. It has a 50% success rate.

It's not the candidate, it's the principles and ideas. I wish to fucking Christ that Bernie was a charismatic 45 year old. But, he's the best we've got.

I really really wanted to get one of those Gundam build model kit things:

To keep me busy on weekends doing something else other than playing video games and shit..... but they're all made in like China/Japan so... FUCK YOU CORONAVIRUS

The success rate vs Trump is a big fat fucking 0 though.

If you have a chance of 50% and a sample of one, you're going to get some 0s. Obviously, it's not quite that simple, but the basic point that every election is about "our candidate is superior to the other candidate," holds. It's not like A) Trump did so well in the election or B) he's noticeably strengthened his position. The fucking country is collapsing all around us, and it's something that can be directly tied to the administration's incompetence (a little unfairly at this point, FTW, but if things haven't gotten a lot better by November, it won't be unfair).

What do you think of AOC going forward?

If you don't think she picks up the torch who is the next standard bearer?

Yes yes, this time it will work. And if it doesn't, there's just not enough data to say either way.
