You know I don't take much personally . Hopefully I'll be golfing with one of the people lol.
Truthfully, catching up on these threads is always kind of a mindfuck for me. Going through it all at once instead of absorbing each post in real time (more or less) sometimes makes everyone sound all kinds of bitter and twisted even as I know that's as much tainted perception on my part as anything.

On the other hand, I say all that having recently found some success with visualization and rudimentary self-hypnosis. It's too early to say if the gains I have made in the one particular area are long-lasting or more generally applicable, but they have a good track record so here's hoping for success in clearing the taint, as it were.

Oh yeah, about the above, I managed two second place finishes in 9-ball tournaments this week, one knockout and one round robin of 21 players, with the provincial open tournament coming up this weekend. I feel like I'm peaking at just the right time, as they say, and I could do very well there. But if so, it's going to be because of the techniques I mentioned in the previous post. I have all the ability in world, and some good bit of it natural talent, if I may say so, but I have problems staying out of my own head and the honest to fuck power of suggestion is where its at for that.

I heard a very long time ago that there was actual science behind visualization and it has only become more and more solid over time, so I really wish I had tried to apply it to my game before now. For me it seems to also require a somewhat self-hypnosis like repetition, but not a mantra per se, rather I'm thinking a suggestion followed by remembering a previous time it happened. Specifically, I'm thinking nice and smooth just like that shot, where I remember the experience of a shot where I delivered the cue nicely smooth and with perfect pace and rhythm and I do it over and over and over at opportune times. Then, when I'm in a game and I am at the table, I just think, nice and smooth, just like that shot and that's how I deliver the cue. So far, it seems to be especially effective when something's not quite right and I have to reset and get my head back into the game.

Isn't all golf outings day drinking lol?

It's a good course but I always play like shit there. I manage athletes. Very profitable but not nearly as glamorous as one may think
It’s a living I’m sure, lol. I’ve been a programmer for almost 20 years, and yes, it’s exactly as glamorous as it sounds.

:p:(

9 ball rules. It's a game for bangers. :D

@tonni @JDragon IDK if you Euros have them, but the people who lived in my apt before me were from Egypt and installed a bidet and left it.

I didn't know what it was for the first couple months. I thought it controlled flush pressure or something. I realized what it was when I turned the dial one morning and got sprayed in the suit pants before going to work.

Anyways, idk how anyone likes that. If it were warm, maaaybe. But cold? It's extremely unpleasant.

When you play a race to 7 or similar, that's not enough against a skilled player. Mind you, I prefer snooker, so I wouldn't claim 9-ball is ideal. Better than 8-ball though.

What other variations do you play, champ? Rotation, billiards, 10-ball, straight pool?

I'll play 8 ball but I suck so 9 ball gives me more ways to win. Having so many balls left that the opponent can't hit the object ball is one.

I said I believed a fighter took performance enhancers in Pride (an organization that didn’t test for PEDs) and I got carded by one of our worst mods on the boards.

“fighter bashing” In the ufc discussion nonetheless.

Enson pretty much confirmed flat out, multiple times that Pride era MMArtists were juiced.

at the same time I understand why the mod would be salty about that. something I had to get over myself too.
